Works great for navigation and stats. Adding routes from Ride With Gps and saving activities to Strava has both been straight forward. Connects easily to shimano Di2 to show gear position and to change screens through the accessory buttons on the Di2 hoods. The solar panel does make a noticeable difference on the battery life. I also bought and connected a Coros heart rate monitor and that has worked well with the computer. Have not experienced any of the bugs many early reviews mentioned.
I just got this unit and only been on 2 road rides so far, but it does everything I was looking for in a bike computer. It's a great alternative to Garmin and great value at this price point. Screen is easy to read while riding in various light conditions. I have it set to standard brightness which is sufficient, but there is a max setting as well. Touch screen works well even with gloves and the dial and button option is great to have as well. Solar charging works well so far. I charged the unit to 100% after receiving it. It's been on for 4 days and on 2 rides. I'm sitting at 95% and picked up around 1.5% of solar charging on 2 hours of riding, even in slightly cloudy conditions. I'm using the Coros arm band HR monitor, but no other accessories connected. HR works great so far and great to see zones on screen while riding, especially on longer rides. I was also surprised to see hill grade info when riding without a route loaded. It seemed this was not a feature when reading about this unit, but it must have been included in a recent firmware update. All around, it's a great product so far. Far better than trying to look at my watch while riding!
I could not get the Dura to link up to my phone and without the Bluetooth connection you can't do anything with the unit. I went to customer support on the Coros website. There is no way contact them other than email, no phone number, no way to talk to anyone. So I went through the bot process which just had me repeat all the steps I'd already tried. Then after 4 or 5 emails over 2 days I was informed that it might be a hardware issue and that I would ne contacted shortly. After waiting 4 days I returned it to REI, one of the reasons I love REI! I have owned various Garmin GPS units over the past 30 years and their customer service is excellent, but based on the reviews I've read on the Dura I thought I'd give it a shot. Bad idea. Bottom line, I would not buy a Dura because you have to link it to your phone for it to operate and the customer service support is horrible.
This device is way more complex for my needs - which is speed, distance and RWGPS only, so I'm going to return it. Reading this: https://pezcyclingnews.com/technspec/review-coros-dura-solar-gps-bike-computer/ makes me realize it the unit can do much more than I will ever need. It would be great for a geek though. :-)
