The water bottle itself and very nice and lightweight. It insulates well and is great for travel and hiking. I already have one in pink (tourmaline) color and wanted another after I saw the beautiful Emerald Green color online. However, I was very disappointed on receiving it. It is definitely not Emerald Green. It's more of a dark teal color, which is fine if that's what you are looking for, but I was looking for a brighter green. I will return it and look at the colors in person.
For anyone actually using the trail series on the trail, the updated cap now has two potential leak points instead of one. Make sure you have both tight and the gasket is seated. Its not really an issue for just carrying it around, but if you're throwing it in a pack and bouncing down the trail be sure its all sealed up. Bottle works great, but the lid is dumb. Or.....you can now spend even more money to get the regular cap that used to come with this bottle.
I really did not need another one of these (this is my fourth lightweight hydroflask - absolutely nothing wrong with them except for the one time I dropped one and didn’t want to risk damaging the inside insulation, still a good reservoir for non temp required fluids)… but I fell for the color. I switch out the tops based off activity needs but it’s perfect for hikes/activities as a cold electrolyte carrier (extra ice when electrolyte powders only require 16oz of water).
