In terms of performance, these shoes were precise, pretty comfortable, grippy on the rock, and relatively easy to get off and on. Regarding size, I'm probably an outlier because I'm not into super tight shoes. I usually wear a street shoe size around USM 10.5/11, and I ended up getting these in USM 11.5. I initially got them at USM 10.5, but my feet started to cramp just putting them on. Even 11.5 is a little tighter than I'd want for anything more than one pitch, but they did loosen up a little after one day of climbing, so 11.5 seems right for me. For reference, I have TC Pros and Katanas in size 45, which is the size I like for those shoes (I could probably go with 44.5 for the Katans), but I also use those for multi-pitch routes. My only negative comment is regarding some wear I saw after the first couple of moves on the rock. As depicted in the photo, the rubber slightly separated from the shoe (the rand?). This didn't affect performance at all, and I imagine the sole will stay on fine other than what you see in the photo, but I figured this was worth mentioning. Also, the sole seems thinner than something like the Katanas. Overall, these are fantastic shoes and notably cheaper than comparable shoes. I don't regret getting them at all.
Ive been wearing the diamond s for about a month and they are absolutely amazing, nice fit, great rubber, intuitive shape that actually feels like its meant for board climbing and steep sets at the gym. would definitely recommend for someone who needs one shoe to do it all.
Super comfortable performance shoe. Functionally feels like a narrower Skwama but is very easy to wear right out of the box. Has that middle soft, sensitive but also supportive feeling. Super sticky rubber with a grabby toe, great for boards, sport or bouldering, especially on sandstone or limestone. For a snug fit I ended up with 1/2 size down, approach shoes are an 8.5 women's (so 7.5 USM), got the Diamond in an 8 (7 men's), but could probably also wear an 8.5 if I wanted to a comfort fit. .
