They will keep you warm in very cold temps
I have been running in upstate NY for years (1 hr north of Albany, NY). Finally, I have found gloves that can keep my hands fine on cold winter days. I have used them when it was < 0F and they have worked for me. In the 20s, my hands are "too warm" with these. In the 10s they are warm enough, and below 10 F, my hands do not freeze and stay ok. I bought a second pair as I rarely find gloves like these... that actually work well in winter.
nice and toasty hands
I've wasted a lot of money on useless running gloves (in terms of warmth). Just test drove these lobsters in low 40°F's/high 30°F's with wind chill and they kept me surprisingly warm considering how thin they are - I actually had to take them off for a bit mid-run! They are a little long in the thumb on me but I think it's because of the unisex sizing. I would consider buying more pairs designed for women if Brooks comes out with them.
Rock On Shield Lobster Glove 2.0's
Great glove that takes a beating and still provides warmth. After a run I left my gloves on the roof of my car and proceeded to drive off when they promptly blew off into the roadway. A light snowstorm and countless cars then ran over my gloves. I found them later that evening in the street and washed them and they were good to go for my next run. Not sure this your average wear test story but you cant beat their durability!
You NEED these gloves this winter!
These are great lightweight but WARM gloves. They are like magic, they work for almost every temperature. Living in central Wisconsin I need gloves for all the temperatures. The only thing I miss is the magnet from version 1. The nose wipe section is nice and having my thumb and pointer finger separated makes me not need to take these gloves off for tasks. Love love love them!
Great lightweight mitts, that perform well in super-cold days.
Great lightweight gloves. The fit and feel are amazing. I expected gloves of this weight to not be as warm as they are, but I was pleasantly surprised. I’ve been wearing them even in temperatures around 15°F. They have a supple feel, and great chamois-like thumbs for the pesky nose that runs as much as I do.
I like these gloves a lot.
These have become my new favorites. I feel like I've tried every conceivable option for hand wear, and these are now by go-to for temperatures down to about 15 degrees, maybe a bit lower. As noted in another review, everybody is different in that regard, and I might be an outlier, but for me they work nicely even in very cold temperatures. I find these to be surprisingly warm for such a lightweight fabric. For what it's worth, I usually have my index finger in the same part of the glove as the other three. It gets cold otherwise. (If Brooks offered this exact same product in an ordinary mitten, I would definitely buy that instead.) Also, my thumb gets a bit cold. As much as I like these, they could be improved by having thicker fabric or an additional layer for the thumb and possibly the index finger. Any finger that is separated from the others is going to be colder. But I've never seen a mitten design that acknowledges this reality, so it's not a feature I would ever expect.
Best handwear design ever!
Very happy with these! Truly better than 5 finger gloves and mittens. Warmer than expected for such a lightweight fabric, outperforming all my other hand gear. Conductive forefinger for devices actually works. Perfect for walking dogs, running, driving.
Nice fit, comfortable glove for moderately cold days
The lobster glove fits well and is comfortable. On a windy and cold day (mid-30’s and below), they are not quite warm enough for my hands. Fortunately, there’s enough room to tuck my index finger in with my other fingers when needed.
Overpriced & not worth it !
Had high hopes for these as reviews said they were warm. They are not warm . Even used my smart wool liners and these did not keep my hands warm :-(. Sending back.
Too thin
They didn't seem very thick or warm, and the touch screen tips didn't work well on my phone. I returned them.
