Local hand drawn designs
This is as far from AI as it gets! Before making assumptions, check out the brand first! I have been buying shirts from Slow Loris Shirts for many years now. They are a small family run WA State local business that has been around for 30 years with only one artist that hand draws every design. Check out their Instagram page if you’d like to see the designs drawn in action. The artist would be crushed to think that people think her hand is AI. They stand for artists in an industry that is being threatened heavily by AI. Their shirts are buttery soft and every design is unique. Don’t hesitate to support local artists!
Looks like an AI-generated graphic?!
So I recently stopped at REI and got this shirt. Nice basic everyday fabric and as a bikepacking enthusiast I really liked the graphics. But a few days later I noticed some weird things about the graphics. The bike geometry is impossible, there is a bar holding the front wheel in place, and no triangle in the back. When you pay attention to the chain it's also running around the pedal not around the front crank. And the rack in the back is kind of floating or putting way too much weight in the saddle bar. My point is: I don't think a human artist would have made these mistakes. It really seems AI-generated. I still think the shirt is cool, but I also feel a little bit cheated. I will think twice before buying from this brand again.
