Great shorts but room for improvement
These are great shorts with a couple of things I’d like to see improved. First, the liner is just much too long. I knew this when I bought them but the liner being longer than the shorts is just goofy to me. I’ll be cutting off an inch or two from them to prevent them from being visible. Second, the waistband is ever so slightly snug. I’m a waist 33 and the large shorts are just a little tighter than I’d like. Not so much that I think I’d need an XL, but enough that it’s a little annoying. Otherwise they are awesome. I love the material, it’s stretchy and good for activity without feeling cheap and it’s also comfortable. The hand pockets are deep, which I love, and the rear zipper pocket is great too, although I also wish it was just a touch larger. Fix the liner and waistband “issues” and these would probably be 10/10 best shorts I own.
Good for running in tropical conditions
Always on the lookout for running shorts for hot and humid conditions, and these shorts meet the requirements. Didn't hurt that what caught my attention was the material pattern. The shorts and liner are light enough and seem to wick well. I was a little concerned about the liners in the photo looking like they extend beyond the shorts. No idea why that's considered a good design look. Turns out, though, that they ride up high enough on the thighs and don't show at all. The one little quibble I have is the little zip pocket in the back where I put my key remote. It hits right on the bone in that part of my spine where it bounces when I run. I can ignore it after a while, but it's just a little annoying at the start. I have other running shorts with zipped back and zipped small side pockets that work fine because they rest against more padded areas.
