I am extremely happy with these shoes so far. I have been using them off trail to run dogs and hunt grouse in heavy cover. They have proven to be very effective. Up and down short but steep gullies and hills has been very easy, while still highly maneuverable in dense brush with deep snow. Bindings are very secure and give great control. They are a bit hard to pull the heel straps tight when the straps are really cold (sub 0F) but still far better than most standard buckles. For the price, I love them.
This is my first set of snowshoes - as a 71 year old woman. I didn’t have high expectations because they were at the lower end, price wise. But for my purposes - getting some outdoor exercise in the winter, they worked great!
We are beginners - first snowshoe purchase. These have been perfect so far. Straightforward to get on and secure, and really lovely to walk in. We were hiking over 6 feet of fresh powder and it was so enjoyable. (Usually we do this hike in just our boots, and sink to our thighs with every step!) I bought the 30s for my husband (5'10", 215lbs), 25s for myself (5'0'', 120lbs), and the kids size for my son (8 yrs old, 50lbs). All are so far great fits, and easy to get used to. Even the kid was flying along after about 30 seconds. If you're not sure what you need, these are a great place to start.
