Great for Alpine Climbing too

You don't need another review telling you how great these Stingers are for steep ice. What you do need to know is that these Stingers are great for alpine climbing for places like Mt Baker or Mount Rainer, they were great on the North Ridge of Baker - but they were just as good on Edmonds Glacier and other "cow" paths on Rainer. They might be a few ounces of over kill on these alpine routes but they are almost a one size fits all for alpine climbing and ice climbing.

BD Crampon Review

These BD crampons are super solid and inspire a lot of confidence. They bite exceptionally well on steep ice and feel equally secure on mixed terrain. Construction id bomb proof, with no flex or chatter. Excellent choice for ice and mixed climbing where stability and reliability are critical.
