Loving the Tasra so far, for the most part. Pics on the website didn’t make clear that the large pocket on the bottom front of the bag has no internal dividers or pockets, so I’m a bit disappointed with that, and the laptop sleeve is a lil tight, but otherwise, I like it a lot! Straps are comfy, plenty of space for anything I’d be bringing out on a day trip, fits a smaller sling bag in that large bottom pocket I mentioned. I’m very happy with it, all-in-all.
Bought this just before a trip to Costa Rica. This bag was so handy for my daily adventures! I could stash my phone and charger in the front pocket and put snacks or a change of clothing in the main compartment. The straps are quite comfortable and the color pops! Only minor gripe is that the bag tends to maintain a cuboidal shape, so don't expect this to function as a shopping bag. Stuffing a jacket inside may not be possible, unless it's a very thin one.
This backpack has many pockets. It’s very roomy and you can fit so much in this pack. It’s lightweight and can be used for school, leisure, travel. I like that you have the option to choose a solid color or the multiple colors selection. It has a pocket for your water bottle. This pack is well made. This is my second Tasra 16L. My first one was several colors and this time I bought a solid color. Love it! Just the same. Buy it, you’ll be so happy you did.
First of all, I am a HUGE fan of the top-loader design change from a clamshell. It makes it much more useful in environments where one cannot lay down the bag to fish out one thing. Also, I absolutely love the Cotopaxi signature front pockets that do not eat into the main compartment. 11/10. However, after literally one mile walking, I have made up my mind about this bag. The following are traits I do not like: - The weight of the bag only ever rests on the outside edge of the strap - so basically 99% of the strap material is useless and it's like walking around with a drawstring bag filled with rocks. - The thingies at the end of the straps meant for lengthening or shortening the overall strap length digs into my ribs. Not a fan. - The bag pulls up the back of my shirt when I walk. I mean, I end up bare-backed on the lower portion of my back. Not ideal. - The pencil sleeves are way too tight to fit anything inside them - especially if your pens have a silicone grip. - No ventilation whatsoever, but I knew that when I bought the bag. - No quick access "passport" pocket. Another thing I knew, but man it sucks not having that. Overall, I think that if Cotopaxi makes a few select changes, this bag would be everywhere. 16L is the ideal EDC backpack for most people IMHO,
I needed to replace a backpack that I loved so much, but the company that I bought it from didn’t make it anymore. So I did a lot of research across different companies to find something that could live up to that backpack (and make up for the few gripes I had with it) and I am so happy I chose this one! I travel for work, so I needed something that could hold my laptop and be roomy without getting too heavy, something that I could take to the office or take on a plane. And this fits the bill! The organization is perfect! A large main pocket with a few dividers, and then two extra pockets. I feel like other backpacks on the market are either made of a million pockets or are just one big pocket. This is the perfect middle ground! This is my first Cotopaxi, and I can already tell that I will want to purchase more products in the future!
In all honesty, I bought this to take to a convention (Blade Show 2026) and it was the perfect size. I really love the structure of this bag and the different pockets are great for staying organized without loosing my things in the pack! The straps are super comfy (I wore this thing for a good 10 hours 3 days in a row and the only thing that bothered me was the back sweat I got due to the venue being a little warm xD)
I ordered the Tasra backpack in Whiskey Honeycomb as a backpack for my commute into the office and for travel. I love the colors, pockets on the front, and padded laptop sleeve! I am happy with my backpack and it's what I was expecting for a 16 L backpack. Note that the water bottle pockets fit a 24 oz. bottle comfortably. And the sides of the backpack don't expand much.
I was looking for a backpack I can use for school and it’s great as I can fit all I need and has perfectly shaped inserts for my needs!
I've needed a new backpack for awhile. I work outdoors researching raptors and need something that will hold up well. i have purchased other Cotopaxi items and use them every day. They are well made, colorful and hold up well. I love that they are recycled materials. That's what drew me to the company in the first place. It fits in with my ecologically values.
This 16L packs a whole lot more than I expected, and is equipped with lots of pockets and compartments to keep your gear organized. It fits perfectly under the seat on an airplane and is comfortable on your shoulders. Could easily use this for a day hike or long weekend trip or as the perfect carry on for a longer trip with a wheelie bag. Love mine!
