Perfect for travel in the heat
I had been looking for a hooded shirt that was loose without being baggy and that would breathe in the heat. This is absolutely that shirt. It is lightweight, breathable, and has a loose fit without looking big. I took it to India for travel in monsoon lowlands and backpacking in the Himalaya. It was basically the only shirt I wore. I love that it does not bunch in the armpits and dries very quickly. The white color held up fairly well, with sweat grunge showing only at the cuffs and neck. . . . it was fairly easy to scrub that off with a little soap in the sink while on the road. This has become my go-to shirt for backpacking, day hiking, and travel. I highly recommend.
Great hoodie
This hoodie is awesome - lightweight, cool. It’s more of a sail / windbreaker material than typical sun hoodies. The sleeves have buttons at the wrists and I’m not sure how they’re supposed to be used.
Comfortable in a range of climates
Bought this shirt not because I *needed* another sun shirt, but because I didn't currently have one made of this fabric. I have a problem with wanting to try new things when my existing things will work just fine. I really like this shirt & fabric. It feels deceptively more like a wind breaker, but it vents beautifully. The first time I wore it was on a hike in Hawaii, and it never felt clammy in the humidity. Back at home (dry, arid Nevada) I've used it for hikes and outside chores. The fabric doesn't cling when it gets sweaty, and dries ridiculously fast. It's definitely going in the bag for an upcoming camping trip.
Vescent Hoodie
Awesome sun hoodie! I just wore it on road bike ride, high 80s and toasty. This hoodie literally kept me cool and comfortable. I chose white so it would be a sun reflectent, perhaps a neon yellow for biking safety? One con, I purchased 2 hoodies, one for me and for my partner. His Vescent actually has a useable chest pocket, my version pocket may fit a credit card or mad money. Little use with the female's pocket.
Breathable Sun Hoodie
I'm super excited about this hoodie. The fabric is extremely breathable, the hood is large and covers my entire head, and the colors are great. I can't wait to backpack with this over the summer. I thought the sleeves were a little long when I was just standing but when I reached out straight, they were the right size. The snaps on the sleeves are nice too so I can roll them up when I'm cooking.

Light beautiful hoodie
I love the weight and comfort of these hoodies and purchased them both in a very light grey and green-grey colors. I’m an artist and loe the Stio palette! These hoodies are a great layering piece or just nice for hanging around in on a cool evening. Also work well for travel. I’m way beyond the hoodie age but these are a go-to even for me.
A Winner
Great hoodie! I bought the Stormy Weather, which is a beautiful color. Great for travel and for sun protection. Fits somewhat snugly. If you prefer more room, I would size up. As one commenter wrote, sleeves are long, but not a problem…I can roll them up. Haven’t had much sun lately, but will be great when the sun finally comes out.
My Favorite Piece of Clothing!
I have two of these hoodies and I absolutely love them! This hoodie is very lightweight and the material is soft and easy to touch. It does Not catch on dry skin. It adds just a perfect layer to wear on cooler mornings on a run, or to wear for lunch or errands. This hoodie is very flattering and I feel pretty wearing it! Love!
My favorite hiking pattner
I have a bunch of sun hoodies and I love how baggy this is. It allows are to flow under and keep me cool. the snaps around the hoodie stayed up even with the mountain winds. I do wish it had thumbs holes to cover the top of my hands, but I did slip my thumbs between the buttons and it worked out.
