I typically wear merino wool socks when hiking. For some reason, this summer my feet/socks are sopping wet when I get off a hike. I wanted to try a COOLMAX Darn Tough sock but not pay full price in case I did not like them. These women's socks were on sale (I'm a guy). The color was bright, but not effeminate, so I order the socks - women's L as I wear a men's M (size 9). They fit great, and are a little shorter in height than a men's sock (as noted by Darn Tough), but that is fine as I typically scrunch my socks down when I hike. They are very comfortable with good cushioning. After my hike today (93 F today and high humidity), my clothes may have been sopping wet, but my feet were dry! Glad I bought these - I highly recommend them. Now I have more options when buying Darn Tough socks - I can buy men's or women's!
These are comfortable, good looking and great cushioning
