I'm Writing a Review -- of Socks!!!
My first review and it's for socks! But not just any socks. These are the best socks I've ever worn, bar none. I'd never thought much about socks, but I realize now how important they are. These socks are comfortable, breathe well, don't bunch up or slide around in my boot, don't stink even after days of wear, look great, and keep my feet happy. Seriously, I've already bought three more pairs of these and plan to buy more. They're fantastic. And I love that they're made in Vermont, which was home for a time when I was a boy and is still one of my favorite places in the whole world. They aren't cheap, but they are the best. Buy a pair and see for yourself.

Should Have Stayed With Merino Wool
Bought six pairs of these and wore them every work day for 3 weeks(six days a week). They are cushioned as promised, and worked fine at that, but they have a funny smell at the end of the day and my feet moved around a bit inside my boots. Felt like my laces weren't snugged up even when they were. These socks did feel cooler than the Darn Tough merino wool socks, but I'll take the slightly warmer merino wool ones that have served me well for over a year.

Best socks I have ever owned

Hands-down my favorite socks of all time. Warm enough for cold nights in the wilderness (I've used them hiking in deep snow, and in weather going down to about 20 F). Cool enough for summer usage (they are my default socks in hot weather, fairly cool and handle the sweat very effectively). Good for all purposes (hiking, walking, and running, personally--very good for all three). Incredibly durable (my first pair has survived over a hundred miles of running--10 miles will destroy regular cotton socks--with only minor wear). In short, my first choice for anything except winter wilderness trips in deep snow (where they're still usable but not preferred).

LIFE TIME Product Guarantee! Are You Kidding Me?

Since I have only lived a fraction of the life I hope to, its hard to report on the value of the "LIFETIME" guarantee that comes with these toe huggers. I have my receipt, the packing collar and high hopes that I live long enough to find out if they are true to their word. At age 75, I wonder if they were thinking, "this old clown won't make it that long anyway, why not tease him with this crazy guarantee?" OK, that's not it, but I can sat that these socks feel great and in another couple of hikes I just might pop for a few more pair. Interesting promise they made, don't you think? "Lifetime" ... WoW!!

I love these socks

These socks fit like a glove and just hug my feet. These don't slip or bunch and seem to keep my feet dry! After spending hours rocking climbing on a wall, all I want to do is get out of my climbing shoes which kill my feet. There's nothing better than slipping my feet into these soft socks for the walk off. I don't know if I'm blessed with sent-less feet, but these socks just don't stink. I love them!

my favorite socks

I'm about 3.5 years (purchased June, 2016) into wearing these socks (estimate at once/week) and they're still going strong. They feel great and I haven't yet noticed any thinning areas of the fabric. It's cold here in winter if it gets to freezing and the summers can be steamy at 90 degrees and humid. These socks are great in either extreme and everywhere in between. They are my go to sock for hiking and are suitable for work as well (though I could do without showing the world the red logo when my pant leg slides up).

5 star function 4 star looks (those color combos)

Coolmax is the reason I buy these. Merino wool is also great but Coolmax wears longer. Darn Tough last a lot longer for me that other brands. Can't say I love the colors or combinations, since I wear them casual with jeans not for hiking. For hiking, who cares, right? These dry fast if you travel - sink wash and wring them in a towel (actually, WRAP them in a towel then walk/stomp on the towel, it's less stress for the sock fabric). Hang them up, dry by morning.

Last pair of socks you will ever need

These are probably the best socks I have ever had. I recently bought another pair because I wear these every day. I didn't buy another pair to replace a worn out pair (they just don't wear out!) but to add to my stock of socks. I've been working a lot of festivals this summer and these socks are what I like with my work boots. I have a few pairs that are probably 5 years old, and I would be hard pressed to tell the difference between them and ones I bought a few months ago. they are very well built. If I had one thing to complain about, it's maybe that sometimes the toe seam doesn't line up right and I have to wiggle the sock so the seam lines up with my little toe.

Comfort socks for walking

I do a lot of walking in an urban and surburban setting on cement. I need good shoes and good socks. I brought Darn Tough socks to help reduce the pounding my feet would get walking on concrete. In addition, I needed a sock that would prevent any rubbing against the shoe. I have had the sock only a few weeks, but so far they fit well so they fit well, their is no bunching and no foot irritation. They also make walking more comfortable and they do provide some cushioning. Although they are thicker than dress socks, I have worn they on summer hot days without problems. (I tend to be more tolerant of heat than some people). As far as longevity goes, I have not have them for long enough to say. However, they do appear to be sturdy socks.

Darn Toughest Socks Ever

This is my 3rd pair of Darn Tough socks. I've extensively used the first two pair hiking, urban walking, lounging, etc. I also bought another brand of wool socks at REI after my first Darn Tough purchase; the other brand socks has holes in them and the Darn Tough socks are still going. I replaced the worn out socks with another pair of Darn Toughs...the name says it all.

Hiking socks that rock(s)!

First time ever using. Am not a fan of wool due to itchyness but these socks are awesome. No itch and my feet are dry at end of day of hiking with 30 lb pack no less. No irritations, no blisters, just normal fatigue from normal exertion. I’ve bought more to replace my old socks with intent of switching over entirely. Finally the proper hiking sock I’ve never had.
