Great New Line, Great Fleece Pullover
This is a great lightweight fleece pullover. I was attracted to the shorter length, somewhat boxy fit and shoulder- season-weight fleece. I tried it on at my local REI store and it was an immediate YES. I am 5'2 and smaller, the XS fits perfect. Taller gals should expect a more cropped fit. I do not find it too boxy. It is the perfect throw on over anything. I chose the denim blue because I'm a blue everything girl and it is a neutral denim color. The pink and orange are much brighter.....I'm going for the pink next. I feel these are unique pieces that I won't be able to replicate. Quality is excellent and I love the thumb holes.
Perfect Shape and Softness
I love what others may not - shorter, looser, and longer sleeves. Iām 5ā7ā and 135lbs. The small fits perfectly with enough room to wear a t-shirt underneath. Also - thank you for the longer sleeves! The purple Nightfall is gorgeous and the collar stands up which is more practical and looks great. It keeps me warm on early morning dog walks and yet is comfortable to wear around the house without getting hot. Iāve been wearing it every day. Buying the white Mountain Goat as soon as I finish this review. Iāve learned that when you find something you love this much, buy two.
Beautiful color, ultra comfortable cozy fleece
Bold bloom heather turpin fleece is a beautiful color, ultra comfortable soft warm fabric, interesting design. I prefer shoulder seams as a petite girl, because it gives me some definition, but this will be fine for casual. The top is wide, as other reviewers have noted, but I am 5' 2", 120 lbs, so the small fits well, other than being baggy around the torso. Again, I'm wearing it for casual, it's not a tailored item! For this, the price was too high, but I purchased on sale and added my REI reward to further discount the price.
My favorite new fleece
I absolutely love this fleece! The weight is perfect to wear under a jacket when it is really cold, or light enough to wear as a warm layer during the fall. I love the cut and it hits me perfectly above my hips. I am such a big fan I now want it in every color. I am between a small and a medium, and a small fit me just right.
Very soft midlayer
I have not worn it yet but it is super soft and I love the color. Normally I would not buy a jacket with snap buttons as it tends to let cold air in between buttons, but I am giving this a chance. The length is shorter than usual which was a plus for me as I am shorter than average!
Back for another color!
I love this top so much and get so many compliments when I wear it such that I now own three of them. Itās a boxy fit. Thatās cute as a pullover. I typically wear a short sleeved shirt or a tank underneath it. Itās warm without being too warm, perfect for summer evenings in Colorado!
Great fleece but odd fit
I think my last review disappeared so hereās another: I absolutely love the Turpin fleece line. Itās so cozy. I love the colors in this style. But I agree with others that the fit is a bit odd. The cropped length is long enough for my preference, since Iām 5ā1ā. But if I were taller, Iād find the cropped length PLUS how wide it is, a bit odd. I usually always wear a size Large in Stio but had to size down to a Medium in this style. Not only was the width excessive in the large, but even the sleeves were baggy. I like how the medium fits, except even on my relatively short arms, the sleeves are too short to use the armholes comfortably (unlike my funnel neck). All in all, this is a style that seems extremely personal preference specific, and body specific, but definitely worth a try. Just as other small notes: I find styles cropped this short to not be very cozy, because youāre always catching that draft! Also the collar on this is lovely but sits in a way that mats my curly hair. I donāt have this issue with the mockneck (my favorite item of the Turpin line).
Fleece pullover
It's very warm, but looks and feels flimsy, like flannel baby pajamas or something. I won't feel comfortable wearing it when something neat and tailored is wanted
very nice layering top
I love how soft this fleece is. I ordered all 3 colors for a trip but decided to keep just 2. It is generously sized without looking sloppy.
I usually wear large in STIO shirts but this one is big. I will return for a medium. Super soft, color is wonderful and love the style.
