These shorts are like butter

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The PR Elite Shorts are really nice. I feel like they conformed to my body and didn’t weigh me down during my run. I feel like my leggings can sometimes feel heavy. These shorts are true to size and made me feel secure, but not suffocated. I did have some issues with them rolling a bit, but once I started sweating, everything stayed in place. I think I also prefer a seamless short, instead of the thick branded band at the top, but I’m pretty sure the band was designed to help keep the shorts in place on the hips. The material is butter soft, but still light and breathable. I get really hot at the gym, and these have been really nice to run in for my treadmill runs.

PR Elite Short winter training

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The PR Elite Training Short from Brooks are buttery soft and were perfect for some garage gym work. I have been treadmill running (because winter in Ohio is rough) and these shorts were good for the shorter distance runs. They ride up slightly although compared to other buns style shorts I would say these were better around the thighs. The waistband was more of an issue for me personally, I wasn't sure if I should wear these at my hips or a little bit higher. Overall I am more likely to wear these for a lifting session in the winter and save them for track work in the summer.

Spandex Perfection

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love these Brooks PR ELITE spandex shorts. The elastic waistband is so comfortable and secure without constricting, so they stay perfectly in place whether I am lifting heavy or going out for a run. The fabric feels supportive yet breathable. This makes them the go to short for intense workouts and longer training sessions. I even felt comfortable wearing them to yoga, knowing they will stay in place for all positions. The purple color is muted and classic, easy to pair with tops and complementary to all skin tones. The shorts move with my body and never feel restrictive. I rely on my shorts to be squat proof and chafe proof. These shorts meet both criteria. Overall, these shorts combine comfort, performance, and sleek design.

Light weight no frills

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are great light weight, no frills shorts. I would say they run true to size. The plum/purple color is nice though you could see some sweat through it if you are a heavy sweater. Not see through though. My only complaint is no pockets, even for keys. But if you are looking for something that is exactly just shorts these are great.

Okay but length needs some work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I really like the color and style of the PR Elite Shorts. The only thing I would improve is the length: rather than be long enough to stay down or short enough to be appropriately “short” they were somewhat a mid to upper thigh length, about 1.5” inseam that made them a bit awkward to run in because they would ride up between my thighs. The material was nice and stretchy making the sizing work for me around the waste. In general, I would recommend these for anyone looking for a tight fitting running short, but my personal preference would bd shorter or longer length.

The PR Elite Short fits true to size and feels comfortable right from the first wear.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The PR Elite Short fits true to size and feels comfortable right from the first wear. The fabric is lightweight, smooth, and breathable, with just enough stretch to move naturally with your stride. On the run, it feels barely there and doesn’t cling or ride up, even during longer or faster efforts. One standout feature is how well the fabric manages sweat—it dries quickly and stays comfortable throughout the run. The waistband feels secure without digging in, and the overall construction feels thoughtful and performance-focused. On daily runs, the PR Elite Short performs consistently well. It’s comfortable for easy miles but also responsive enough for tempo runs, making it a reliable go-to for everyday training.

I dont know why these made me feel powerful after putting them on!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] IMPORTANT: If you looked at my photos, saw a camel toe, & said “WOOF, no thanks!” Please know that’s a me thing- not an issue with the shorts. I pull my shorts up high while running! When worn normally, or during non-running workouts, I can assure you that it isn’t a feature. These shorts fit beautifully but I will absolutely encourage you to take your measurements before buying! I’m so glad I did because I would normally wear a size small but medium was the right fit for me. I’m 120 lbs and wearing a size Medium. I have a 28 inch waist, 35 inch butt, 18.5 inch thigh. Overall, these feel like high-quality, thoughtfully designed shorts that balance stretch, security, and comfort really well. They’re my go-to for both workouts and runs. They sit securely at the waist right above my hip bones—I love that they are snug in a supportive way, not in that terrible uncomfortable or digging-in kind of way. The fabric doesn’t pinch my skin, it doesn’t roll up while moving, and it stays put during workouts. The length feels just right, too: flattering and functional without needing adjustment. The material is extremely flexible and moves with my body even during yoga practices. I’m thankful that it doesn’t have that thin/tight feeling in the seam that makes you worry about it ripping when you’re in a deep stretch or squat. I don’t feel nervous pushing my range of motion if I’m in these shorts, even when I’m doing donkey kicks at the gym. Yay!!! I am a personal trainer & before I had these shorts I only trained folks in full length leggings because I could either have shorts that were too loose and people could see up the crotch when I was demonstrating an exercise, or they were tight and dug into my skin or rolled up while I was moving. I’m not trying to work an 8 hour shift in uncomfortable shorts. The last thing I want to say is that as a woman who has an unfortunately flat rear, I was amazed that these made my rump look rather flattering! 10/10! I feel so powerful when I wear these- I have no idea why that is, but I LOVE it!

The perfect shorts for a matching set!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The PR Elite shorts are such a pretty color! Highly recommend getting the matching bra if you buy these shorts! They are extremely comfortable. I’m 5’2, about 120lbs and run and lift regularly. I have muscular glutes and thighs. The sizing is pretty true to size. The size small waist band is comfortable and fits perfectly. On my body, the leg holes are a little tighter on my thighs and do ride up while I lift. I don’t think I would size up, because I like the fit otherwise!

Comfortable Fabric, Frustrating Fit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted to love these Brooks PR Elite Shorts because there are some things they get right. The length is great—not too short, though I have shorter legs—and the fabric is lightweight without feeling flimsy. They also feel well-constructed and the slight compression was actually nice. That said, they ultimately missed the mark for me. The biggest issue was functionality during gym work: they rode up noticeably when doing heavier lifts, especially squats, which made them distracting and uncomfortable. On top of that, the aesthetic design just wasn’t it for me—the branding across the top waistband felt overly loud and unnecessary, which took away from an otherwise clean silhouette. Overall, these might work for light running, but between the ride-up during strength training and the overdone branding, they didn’t justify the price or the hype for me.

Great shorts for the gym!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm always on the lookout for great workout shorts that I can wear to the gym. I typically run on the treadmill, bike on the stationary bike, and do strength training. These shorts are perfect for all of the above. They're made of a comfortable stretchy fabric, don't ride up, and are comfortably tight.
