Not an all trail runner.IT staff, wrk on review pge
The fit is good, they feel secure just like the pair I bought a few years back. These have more cushion in the ball. But just like the years old model, not good for hardened, easy trails as they’ll really work calves which ultimately make the legs work harder. Standard fit has more width than other shoes, a plus , as I usually wear a wide. So like my old pair I had in Arizona. Good for softer, technical, rocky, rooted trails. Not an overall trail runner. P.S. REI, work on the reviews page for mobile. This thing is all over the place
Great Trail Running Shoe!
I’ve really enjoyed running in the Peregrine 16 so far. They look great and feel like an ideal balance between protection and lightweight responsiveness. They don’t feel bulky or overly cushioned, which I appreciate since I typically wear barefoot shoes and prefer footwear that doesn’t dramatically alter my mechanics. The drop feels natural and comfortable, and overall they’ve been a great, well-balanced trail shoe.
Reduced Lug Depth & Stability
I am disappointed that the lugs have been reduced from 5mm to 4mm. Also, with the added insole cushioning, I experience less stability on steep, irregular downhills. I suppose the new 16 may be great for most people, but not me. There are plenty of trail shoes for the middle market of well-maintained trails, but the Saucony Peregrine 15 (including version 8+) was ideal for rough and steep trails.
Excellent Trail Shoe
I run on local trails that are a mixture of sand, dirt, and plenty of tree roots. This shoe handled all without a problem. It's comfortable but stable with good grip. I really liked the Peregrine 15. I like this one, the Peregrine 16, even more. It's just fun to run in. For me it was true to size (size 10).
Perfect fit
My favorite version of the Peregrine since number 10. Great fit and very good grip. My first run in them was on snow, ice and wet surfaces with no slipping.
Excellent fit and great trail runner
Good trail runner. Still would like to see a move away from knit construction and return to sewn so the uppers would be more durable…
