[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Salomon Aero Glide 4 delivers a lightweight, responsive ride with excellent cushioning and support. The fit is true to size with generous internal volume, allowing room for thicker cushioned socks without sacrificing lockdown. A breathable upper and well‑designed lacing system provide comfort and security, while the slightly pointy, propulsive toe geometry promotes efficient toe‑off and speed. The bouncy midsole offers strong energy return, and the full rubber‑covered outsole protects the foam while delivering reliable grip across multiple terrains. Reflective details enhance visibility for low‑light runs, making this a versatile and confidence‑inspiring daily trainer.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] On first look and feel, these shoes are super lightweight and squishy. The interior fabric and tongue is nice and flexible and I didn't feel any pressure points when walking or running. The new quicklace system took an extra second to figure out but is intuitive. I had issues with the laces loosening on the first run, but after a dusting of dirt they are staying in place well. Once running, they are surprisingly rugged for how light they are! They faired very well on dry and wet gravel running conditions, and even dry/rocky more technical trails. A more technical trail under rainy conditions caused mud to get stuck in the bottom gap of cushion but I popped it out with a stick and kept going. Overall, these are really comfortable shoes for gravel and dryer trail conditions. I would like to see a lower drop in the future but will keep wearing them as is.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been a dedicated trail runner and Salomon loyalist for about 8 years now, racing competitively in 50K to 100-mile mountain events. I picked up the Aero Blaze Gravel last year as a workout shoe for gravel threshold/VO2 sessions and the occasional track workout (I’ve always been hesitant to fully switch to a road shoe). They were solid, but these are on a completely different level. The foam feels incredibly supportive with just the right amount of bounce. I feel noticeably faster and stronger in them, especially during workouts. At first I thought they were a super shoe!! I’ve used them for road runs, gravel sessions, and long runs up to 3 hours, and they’ve handled everything really well. Where I live, runs are rarely just road or just trail. It’s usually a mix of pavement, gravel, and sometimes wet or messy conditions. These are perfect for that. They strike a great balance between performance and versatility. Fit is spot on, grip is great, and the quicklace system feels secure and premium. The upper material is high quality, and overall, the shoe just looks great too. Only minor note: on chunkier gravel, small rocks can occasionally get caught in the midsole, but it’s rare and hasn’t been a real issue. Overall, this feels like a major upgrade; easily one of my favorite non-trail shoes I’ve run in.
Loved how bouncy these felt. I was using Brooks glycerin max and love cushion but found they had no bounce for running. These are the perfect balance. Here in Florida my terrain is mainly sandy dirt thick pine needles on the trails and these helped a lot with slippage I was having while running. I’m a plus size girlie with feet on the CUSP of wide and these fit perfect and weren’t too small for me!! Barely any heel slippage as well and felt really good so far. I mainly do 3-5 mile runs so I can’t speak on further distances than that.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I previously bought 3 pairs of the Aero Glide 3 GRVL and now the Aero Glide 4 GRVL. I've been wearing these shoes for road running and track work for about the past month. (I wore the Aero Glide 3 on some light trail runs and they were as awesome as you'd expect from Salomon.) It has the same sole as the Aero Glide 3 but it has made a significant improvement with the toe box. The toebox on this shoe is nice and roomy (but not uncomfortably big) and not at all tapered like the Aero Glide 3 GRVL was. This shoe is also back to having the Quicklace system. I actually did not mind having regular laces on the Aero Glide 3 but you can get a very precise fit (that doesn't budge) with the Quicklace system. One change I found puzzling is that the lace just past the toggle is physically attached to the top of the tongue. I find this awkward because I can't open up the laces as wide as possible when putting on the shoes. I've debated snipping the piece of black fabric to free the laces but it does not detract from the shoe (it's more of a minor inconvenience). But the best part of these shoes is the sole. Salomon describes it as foam but to me it feels like running on ridiculously bouncy rubber, in the best possible way. They are very stable shoes but you do feel the energy return. My middle-aged knees appreciate the cushion and the bounce. SALOMON: please continue to release new versions of this shoe like you do for Speedcross and XA Pro 3D!
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I used to be a consistent runner back during 2020-2022, running 20km+ a week. I started getting plantar fasciitis so had to take a step back from running. I wanted to get myself back out on the road and found these which offered great road and gravel running features. After a few runs, I am feeling confident in starting to put miles back in and have not had any PF flare ups. Excited to keep going to see how far I can push myself. Sizing-wise, they are slightly wider and run a little bigger than I’m used to but overall a great fit.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was gifted this pair to try out and honestly didn't know what to expect. I come from a trail and ultra background and have been shifting toward road and mixed terrain running lately, so I was curious how these would feel. Turns out, really good. The cushioning is bouncy in the best way, the drop feels just right too. I can't fully explain it but it makes me feel faster, like the shoe is nudging me forward. And the Vanilla Ice / Black colorway? Gorgeous. I've gotten multiple compliments already. I've always reached for Salomon on the trails and never thought to try them on the road. The quick-lace system felt like home from the first wear (same as my trail shoes), no adjustment needed. It's got me genuinely curious to explore more of what Salomon makes for the road.
I purchased these trainers in Osaka Japan at the beginning of my holiday there, knowing that we would be walking long distances everyday. I cannot tell you how comfortable these trainers were! Everyday up and down on the metro, long distance walks to temples high up, not once did these trainers rub my feet or give me blisters. They were super springer and the best part they are so light! You need light trainers nothing that’s going to feel like you’re wearing lead boots! So lightweight trainers which provide cushion support and feel like you’re wearing slippers that’s how comfortable they are! And now back in the uk I’m still wearing them for walks in the countryside. Only downside is I should have purchased another pair while I was there! These are without doubt the best trainers I have ever had!
I’ve struggled with plantar fasciitis, these shoes have been amazing. Great cushion and support. I’ve noticed great traction on gravel.
Perfect for long runs and love the laces. Can't wait to get more miles in these.
