First month with my 570!
As the end of my first month approaches, I wonder how I ever got by with a Garmin watch before! Went with the Forerunner 570 for the added features, and I've been loving the daily outlooks and Garmin Coach training. I have run close to a dozen half marathons prior to deciding to upgrade my smart watch and register for my first marathon this coming October. So far the training plan it has recommended for me has been great and I also really like the race predictor feature! Great battery life as well. So far I am very impressed, and hope as I continue to use it and grow with it, that it continues to live up to my expectations!
Too big for 42 mm
The band is sligltly too big. I prefer the 18 mm band and the size of 256s. I feel this watch is slightly on the heavier side and the strap blocks my blood flow to fingers on my thin wrists. Nice software.
Great watch...if you can get a discount!
The notable updates from the 265 (which I also owned) are definitely a step-up: V5 HR sensor, speaker/mic, newer/brighter screen, UI, and a few minor hardware improvements (bezel). However, I would NOT pay full price for this watch, wait for a sale or use a coupon if you can find one, otherwise try to find the 265 or 965 on sale.
My first Garmin
Transitioning from an Apple Watch to a Garmin. Very pleased with the lightweight, comfort of the watch. A small adjustment to learn the new format. Very happy as it is more health and fitness focused.
Quite a creation!!
I radioactive the Venue 2+ with the 570 Forerunner... it's a real transition to say the least... learning curve not too bad. I really didn't need to have all the features but I had to have the call answering. It would be nice to have this on all the Garmin watches... then i wouldn't have had to down soooooooo much... it is however, a really great watch and good improvement on the venue 2+... the 47 size is excellent!!
Great watch!!
Bought this recently and it is the best garmin watch I’ve owned so far. The price is worth it for the amount of features you get!! The features is has for running and many other things are top tier! The new AMOLED display is amazing and the battery life on this watch is awesome even with the new display!! If you’re a runner looking to get a high quality watch the Garmin Forerunner 570 is a great choice!!
So far so good except the charging port
I cant understand the charging port but this is my first garmin, came over from a 2021 apple watch. love the 8-10 day battery life vs 2021 apple watch of ... maybe a day usually like half a day. Body battery is awesome. Charging cord is extremely difficult to remove for fear of breaking something but as long as its only once every 9-10 days.. i hope i figure out the trick
Wish it was like the 256s in size!
I have mild carpal tunnel on my wrist and the 570 was a bit too heavy and bulky. I did try other straps and it did not work for me, I had mild pain on my wrists. The 256 s is much better on my wrist, I feel lesser pain and can were it for longer time without discomfort. Much thanks to the 18 mm wrist band and lesser weight. Software is decent. Battery life is ok.
Nice little watch
I love the watch! I wish there was a way to completely deactivate the microphone and speakers, as I don't use those features at all. Additionally, some of the apps I want to use are not yet compatible with this watch. I understand it's not Garmin's fault, but perhaps they could encourage developers to update and optimize the apps for better compatibility.
No Form goggles connectivity
I am loving the watch but I am very disappointed that with triathlon season in full swing, the form goggle compatibility feature has not been released. Pretty bummed about that. Also, it sometimes doesn’t sync properly to my phone so I can’t stop alarms from it as I used to with my 255s. The rest of the features are great and I really like the look of it.
