100% happy with this shoe and my new favorite. One of the most comfortable fits and even though it has maximum cushion, it feels low to the ground and stable during my trail runs. Must get additional colors before they are sold out.
I’ve been running long trail miles in these shoes and I absolutely love them. From the very first run, the comfort stood out — the cushioning feels plush underfoot without being overly soft or unstable, which makes these great for long days out on the trail. They don’t feel bulky or heavy. The fit feels true to size and secure, and the outsole handles varied terrain with confidence thanks to the Contagrip lugs — I’ve been able to run everything from smooth dirt roads to rocky singletrack without any major slip-ups. Overall, these have become my go-to shoe for long trail runs. I’d definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a cushioned trail shoe that can go the distance.

They made the shoe wider! Yes! Now I feel stable on rocky terrain. I love the shoe. Only downside is the lacing system. I prefer regular shoe laces. But I can live with it. I am trying to find the perfect ultra shoe. I love the aero glide for road and I wanted a shoe similar to that for trail. Drop for aero glide is 8mm drop for this shoe is 6 mm. Close enough. I will wear this shoe for my next 100K. I also wear an Ankle brace lace up one due to left ankle instability. I have rolled it so many times the ligaments are so loose in the ankle. I don't wear the brace most of the time but with long efforts I do due to fatigue. I can fit my brace in this shoe easily and it's comfortable.
Ultra Glides have often been a favorite of mine and this update has been amazing. I looked forward to appreciating the relieveSPHERE technology for longer runs, but have been pleasantly surprised with how quickly into runs I noticed the benefit and have really enjoyed it for shorter runs as well! The cushioning in this shoe is also very comfortable without making the shoe feel unstable. The bottom of the shoe feels grippy and the lugs have provided good traction on some the wetter trails following a few good rains. This is quite a versatile shoe. Highly recommend.
I’ve been searching for a new, everyday, versatile trail shoe that can go the distance now that the Sense Ride isn’t geared toward running anymore and because it’s just gotten worse with each new version. I’ve tried several other models, trying to fit this need, and nothing has worked until this shoe. As others noted, it’s very comfortable. What stood out to me most was the wider toebox, which was a pleasant change from other Salomon trail shoes. The tread is quite grippy and the lug depth is great for more technical terrain. They do feel wider to me and I think would take getting used to for anyone accustomed to a narrower shoe, but they don’t feel like a lot of shoe and are not heavy. Overall, they seem to be great for daily mixed running.
I have always worn an 8 Solomon women’s shoe. These Ultra Glide 4 are either defective or run small with a very compact toe box. I had to return them and could not find a Solomon replacement for years of wearing the Ultra Glide 2.
I bought these shoes three weeks ago. I am on my feet for eight hours a day and these shoes are very comfortable and have a wide toe box. They run big about a half size. - normally I wear a size 7, but got these in a 61/2. My only complaint is that they are already starting to get an odor. I don’t have this problem with other shoes.
I have always wanted to try Salomon trail running shoes but thought they were too big for my little narrow foot. I was amazed when I found a Size 5.5 in a local retail store. I had only seen Size 6 in stock previously. It fits perfectly! I ordered the Ultra Glide4 because I wanted the extra cushioning and am very happy with them.
I purchased a pair with intention to walk the camino. Needed quick drying, lightweight grippy shoes. These are all that...except there is no arch support and i suffered pronation. I used walk heros insoles to try and fix the issue. It took 2 weeks for the insoles to make friends with my feet. Now we are happy.
