Fantastic for camping , hiking, and daily use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using my Lifestraw bottle daily for a couple months now. I drink a lot of water due to chronic dehydration, so, it is important for me to have water available at all times. One thing that really frustrates me is when I run out of water and there is no clean water available . I have a condition called multiple chemical sensitivity, so, tap water can have things in it that will make me sick. Even purified water can. So, having this filter is an awesome feature. I keep the filter in my purse just in case. It has come in handy a lot. Also, the bottle is BPA free, which is great for people with MCS . It is lightweight, yet durable, and has a clip that I attach to my purse. I am very happy with the performance of this product.

Great product and quickly shipping time!

I bought the bottle and 9 days after it arrived my home in Mexico, the shipping time and the process was very fast! Having this bottle is an awesome feature, I always keep it with me in case I need water (filling the bottle anywhere). It is lightweight and very resistant so I consider it is for a “rough use” product. I am really happy to have been able to buy my lifestraw go from Mexico and happier to take it with me every trip. Thanks a lot!

Not good for backpack camping

I have had this water bottle for since Christmas and took in on an overnight camping trip that the temps got below freezing at night. The water bottle froze and the bottom expanded and will not go back into form. I would not recommend this water bottle backpack camping.

Hello! We're deeply sorry for the issues that you experienced with your LifeStraw Go Bottle. We do not recommend leaving your LifeStraw products in temperatures below freezing as this will damage the product as a whole, and the filter more specifically and render the product ineffective in protecting against waterborne contaminants. This information can be found in your user manual as well as our FAQ's section on our website here: http://help.lifestraw.com/en/articles/3696299-are-there-temperature-regulations-for-your-products

Purchase of 2 LifeStraw Go Bottles

I purchased 2 LifeStraw Go bottles for a trip to Costa Rica and my husband and I absolutely love them! They were terrific for our trip, with the included carabiner we were able to easily snap them to our day packs so they were always at hand as we traveled around. Even though the public water throughout Costa Rica is very safe LifeStraw still gave us the peace of mind that if we did need to drink water from a waterfall while out hiking we absolutely could do so with no hesitation. Of course we will continue to use our LifeStraw bottles at home and on future trips where ever that may take us. Thank you LifeStraw for your amazing products!

A great water bottle for everyone

I bought my first lifestraw go years 4 years ago during my sophomore year of high school and I fell in love with the bottle and company. After loosing my first one at school (Someone really stole it I believe). I bought my second one which has been so many places with me. I have taken it white water rafting and used it to drink river water, and it is finally time for my third one. My second I will keep as a backup but it’s had a rough life over the past 3 years. I could not recommend this more to anyone. The best water I have ever tasted has been that river water out of this bottle. My friends thought I was insane but I love this product so much.

Need to replace filter much sooner than expected. From every 4000L to every 100L.

I was excited to purchase the Lifestraw 1L GO. Bought two. Fast delivery and products received were not damaged. Read the specs of the product. It states clearly that the micro filter is good for 4000L. However, they failed to mention that the carbon filter is only good for 100L. This is mentioned on the box when I received my two water bottles. Now, I am having to replace filter much sooner than expected. This is exactly where this company makes their money, by replacement filters. BUYER be aware. Yes, I have made many comparisons and research on other similar water bottles with filters, those costs and delivery times. That’s why I choose Lifestraw.

Weeped for a bit but perfect now!

Overall, I love this bottle and would purchase again. For some reason the first month or so this bottle kept weeping out of the top. It was soaking surfaces under the bottle just sitting there if I left the top open. For some reason that has stopped. Now it’s perfect! I feel confident with this filtering system that if I really wanted (or needed) to I could go drink pond water and be just fine. This is a must for any survivalist. The bottle itself is also sturdy, as is the ring that comes with a carabiner to help you carry the bottle. The quality is excellent. Would definitely repurchase, and actually will be buying one for my son.

Overpriced

I bought a total of 4 of these. The two being used, have proven to just be overpriced to-go water bottles. I can get the same idea minus the filter parts for less money, elsewhere. I use a Brita pitcher and keep it in my fridge. I couldn't get the water to go through the straw or filter part. It hurt my cheeks. The water was gross in one of them. I really expected delivery on these products. I was disappointed. Nice in theory, I guess. But unless this is corrected, or can be, I won't be advising anyone to purchase, and I surely won't be buying another one. The only way I feel my water is "filtered" is through my Brita. I tried. And would love it if they worked.

Update Review

I posted a review after purchasing 2 LifeStraw water bottles (22 oz) for a trip abroad. One worked perfectly and the other not so much. It was impossible to get water through the straw on one. I emailed LifeStraw because I really didn't have time to return the bottle and get something else. LifeStraw told me to take the filter out and remove the carbon filter at the top. Soak the filter only for 1 hour in a mixture of 4 tbls. of coconut milk and 2 cups of water. Rinse everything well and replace. It worked great! Super easy fix and all is well. Thanks to LifeStraw as the product is great and I really wanted it to work.
