Great Shape!!!
Most freeze blocks or packs I've bought are always just a little too bulky & l end up playing a messed up version of tetris trying to pack everything so I can get the lid closed on my cooler (whether a hard or soft case), which results in me wanting to get to my destination ASAP so I can empty my cooler & get the contents into the fridge, because I could never get even cooling of my food. With this sleek freeze block, however, I don't think I'll run into that issue again. This block is shaped to fit PERFECTLY on top of six 12 ounce cans or whatever edibles you're packing & then slide the lid over & close it without any obstructions. My days of playing tetris with my cooler are OVER. :) Thanks, Igloo!!!
Perfect for keeping groceries cold
Bought 6 of these and keep them in the freezer, ready to go. I pair these with my Igloo rolling cooler foe use when grocery shopping. I place these in the cooler when I leave the house for a grocery shopping trip. By the time I am thru shopping, the inside tenoerature of the cooler has dropped quite a bit, which helps keeps the perishables fresher longer. I am always amazed at how much the cooler holds and how well it keeps items cold. I would call this "very light" use, and expect that the cooler and ice.packs will last a very long time. Very pleased with them.
Good ice block
This ice block fits nicely in a 7qt cooler. Even though I did lay it flat in the freezer it still bulged from the middle a bit when frozen. I put it in with my lunch in a 7 qt cooler for a day trip. The cooler was in my car for about 5-6 hours and my lunch was still cool, but the ice block wasn’t really frozen anymore. Would give a better rating if it didn’t bulge and would last frozen just a smidge longer.
These freeze with huge bulges in the side
Purchased 2 of these to replace some other ice packs I had been using. First time I froze them, despite laying flat in my freezer both froze with huge bulges in the center of the blocks. These bulges make them very difficult to use in my cooler; every single Igloo ice block I have ever owned has had this problem. Very frustrating.
Small, but mighty icy!
I bought two of these small ice blocks to use in my new Igloo retro lunch cooler, and they are still mostly frozen when I come home from work 10 hours later. They are the perfect size to lay on the bottom of the cooler, or to layer in between things like frozen meals and yogurt. I'm impressed!
It’s an ice pack however
It’s an ice pack however I removed two stars because even when I lay flat in my freezer this block tends to freeze a bit misshaped. It’s supposed to be able to fit the sides of my cooler but doesn’t because of the way it does not maintain its shape.
Outstanding investment the igloo xl ice pack
I love igloo products. I updated my cooler collection to gray (72 qt and 52 qt on wheels. This weekend i added the soft back and can holders(24) to gray as well. Very durable and it maintains the cool temperature with the igloo xl ice packs.
Max cold medium freeze block
This fits great in the marine cooler bag. Make sure to freeze them flat. Any type of angle will make it expand and not fit in the cooler slots. Easy fix, unfreeze and refreeze flat. Get 4 so 1 set is always in the freezer!
Works perfect!
They fit in the slots on the side of the 12 can cooler perfect. Keeps the food or drinks nice and cold all day. I ordered 4 since my husband uses it everyday so I have 2 in use and 2 in the freezer for the next day.
