Perfect Lightweight Shell - Size Up for Layering

I recently took the Norvan Windshell (Cloud/Void, Size Large) out to Crater Lake, and it exceeded expectations. At 5'10" and 180 lbs, I’m usually a Medium in Arc’teryx, but I found the Medium too trim for my liking. Sizing up to a Large was the right move; it provides a perfect drape and comfortably accommodates layers without feeling bulky. The performance is top-tier. The fabric is impressively soft and silent—no "crunchy" or swishing sounds during movement. Breathability is remarkable even during high-exertion stretches. If you need an ultralight, durable wind layer that doesn't feel like a plastic bag, this is it. Highly recommended.

Great item, happy with my purchase.

Great multitool, the free tech (magnets) work well and make it easy to access the tool set. It take a bit of breaking in for the tools to open smoothly but it has gotten better the more it’s been used. Is it perfect? No. But it is really nice. And makes using it easy and enjoyable. What would I change? Not much. The ergonomic are sufficient but would grow uncomfortable if used for an extended period of time.

Nice simple design

This was my upgrade for an old Camelbak Rim Runner from long ago. This pack feels light considering the approx 2lbs weight and has a nice simplicity about it. There is one large compartment with a mesh pocket inside for valuables/toiletries, one smaller outer zipper pocket and a mesh front pocket/side water bottle pockets. I can fit my mini phone in the zipper pocket at the waistband which is nice. This pack has a lot of adjustment potential and fit me well for a 19” torso 175lbs 5’6 guy. I have a 3L Platypus bladder, lightjacket or Sun shirt , first aid kit, food and snacks, maps, rain poncho, gloves and more with plant of room to spare in this pack! Would recommend for someone who wants a pack with less compartments/able to carry 15lbs or less.

My board and new bindings were ruined by them.

My board and new bindings were ruined after the tuned by REI Framingham. One of the channel plug was lost, and the staff insisted it was not because of them. However, I have the picture of my board that was taken one day before sending it in. When I came back home I examined the board thoroughly, and I noticed not only the plug was lost, the area around the plug were scratched by something like snowboard file. And my white bindings bottom got dyed at the bottom. I can't imagine how rude they were while working on my board.

Great for first time snowshoeing!

First time snowshoeing and these were the perfect recommendation from Javier to rent at REI in Lynnwood. The only feedback I have for them is a more secure way for the straps to be latched in. Every 150-200 steps I would take I had to adjust the straps at the top of the foot because they would come loose from the clip that was holding the straps in. Otherwise, I had a blast and would definitely use this brand of snowshoes again when I decide to take my next snowshoeing adventure! I also loved that there was a rental opportunity as being a first-time snowshoer I didn't know what I was getting into, and it gave me the opportunity to decide if I liked it before going all in and I definitely liked it!

Awesome hiking boots!

Best boots I’ve ever owned! I tried on 5 different pairs and these were so comfortable. Not too hot, not too wide, tie on very easy, cushioned just right, didn't bother my ankles and they fit so nicely.

Happy with the switch to Coros!

Excellent smart running watch! Good GPS accuracy, picks me up quickly when I run. The interface is great and customisable, the wheel on the side is really well thought: starting an activity is simple. Navigation is great for when I go to places I have never been before and the turn by turn indications are great. The watch even lets you know when you deviate too much from the planned route. It's comfortable to wear, it does not feel heavy or too big (I have got relatively small wrists). I find the app really well designed too, with plenty of information I did not have access to with my previous watch. There is a workout library with infinite amount of workouts, some mobility exercises and you can even design your own! Overall extremely pleased with the purchase and the move from polar to coros!

Perfect Intermediate/Hard Hiking Shoes

I bought these shoes for a trip to Palm Springs where we had 3 long hikes (8.5-10.5 miles, 2200+ ft elevation gain) and a day planned at Joshua Tree National Park. They were everything I needed in a hiking shoe! Very comfortable throughout the hikes (I did have my own inserts in them) and had great grip on various terrain (gravel, boulders, sand, dirt, snow). Though these are a hiking shoe, given the design and feel, they could certainly be used as trail runners. We did do one hike in snow since we were at over 8000ft elevation and I will say that I would caution that the shoes are more water resistant than water proof. My feet did get wet after hours in the snow, but the snow was more than ankle deep and we did not have gaiters on. So I probably pushed the limit of what the shoe was designed for, so I still rate them 5 stars.

Hoka Challenger 8 - soft treads

I just purchased my Hoka Challenger 8 a few weeks ago, they are very comfortable. I have been using them them use for my walks which are 2-4 miles a day. The treads on the soles are already worn all the day down in spots and eating up the actuall sole already. Less than 60 miles and I am going to need new shoes. Love my hokas but I have always get atleast 9 months out of a pair of shoes, very dissapointed this time around.
