Streamlined no-frills harness

I'll admit, I really only climb at the gym so I cant speak for those wanting to use this outdoors, but after a few uses I can say that the Solution is a great gym harness. No extra buckles (meaning no leg loop adjust buckles - the elastic used here really fit my legs well) and a singular riser adjustment point lets you get straight to climbing. Coming from an intro-level harness, the lack of padding on the Solution was a bit off putting but they are plenty wide and actually feel super comfy / supportive while in use. The waistbelt also benefits from the minimalistic construction and really distrubutes load / pressure very well. All in all, a nice streamlined / lightweight harness for the price.

So I got this harness after I returned the first harness I got wich was the petzl corax . I first likes the corax because it had adjustable leg loops but during a fall the buckles would dig into my legs or ride up. Even though the solution doesn't have adjustable leg loops the legs and waist are nicely padded and the small elastic part of the leg loops makes it so during a near vertical fall the legs don't pinch your leg or crotch even if they do ride up.

I bought this harness a while ago for sport and gym climbing and I love it! Its really comfortable to hang in while cleaning holds on a sport route and its comfortable when I take big whippers indoor and out. The only reason why I didnt give it 5 stars is because the gear loops are a little small for a mens harness and when leading sport climbs all the protection feels really tight. But other than that its light and for the price it cant be beat!!!

This is the fourth harness that I've worn or at least tried a couple of times. This thing is incredibly comfortable. I usually sport climb in it, but I also do multi-pitch routes and have been teaching people cleaning/rappelling/multi-pitch strategies in the gym and I am able to hang in it for fairly extended periods of time without fatiguing like I do in every other harness I've owned. Definitely one of the best harnesses for the price.

Black Diamond Never Disappoints. Very well made for the sport it is for all around the sport. Comfortable for sport climbing such as top-rope and lead climbing feels very comfortable around me. Be sure to try on the harness before purchase Also they have a sizing chart that helps a whole lot when wanting the right size. The gear loops always make for a quick and easy clip the overall harness isn't the lightest but Its an All-around Harness for the sport and is well worth it.

After recently returning from the PCT I was in the market for a new climbing harness. The BD Solution is really the perfect sport climbing harness the leg loops fit perfectly and the harness is ridiculously comfortable for hours in the gym and at the crag.

Non adjustable leg loops

Leg loops are non adjustable and may not fit comfortablyour certain body types specially lifting background folks should avoid it. Can't combine small waist and big legs. I tried medium and small but would have to return. Other than that it's similar to arcteryx ar 395. But less than half the price.

I've climbed this harness about 9hours now. The legs straps are too thin at the inner thigh where the padding connects to the elastic material. This can make certain rest positions as well as falls more uncomfortable than with other harnesses. Quality is nice, and waist area is really comfortable.
