I bought this pack back in March. I needed something to hold my 3 liter water reservoir, and to take on longer day hikes. I ended up bringing using this just pack on a weekend trip, and it was perfect. It's my go to pack for hiking now. I wish the zipper for the main compartment went down a little further, or for the compartment to open up more. But I really like the zipper holds, and the pockets on the waist belt. The pole loops do become loose a lot, but it's no big deal. Not huge fan of the bottle pockets, it's a little difficult to reach back and be able to easily pull bottles out of them. But the pack is really comfortable and I use it multiple times a week.
It is just the right size (5'4" tall) I like the top and bottom access to the main compartment. The additional pockets help to stay organized and find items. The side mesh pockets can fit a water bottle or even a pair of flip-flops. I wish it came with a rain cover but I was lucky to find this pack on sale. Very happy with this purchase, the promt delivery and the helpful staff at REI.
I'm so happy with this purchase. I bought this pack because I wanted a backpack I could bring as a carry on for a plane that could still store enough for a long weekend. This pack is perfect for what I was looking for. The straps are very comfortable and I can fit plenty with space to spare. The side pockets are convenient and hold a water bottle well. Definitely recommend!
Well thought out. Love the roomy waist belt zippered pockets as well as the multiple zipper/space options to organize. Straps at bottom for extra gear or store jacket temporarily. Large zipper pulls are nice, perfect size as it's not to big or too small and the pack is comfortable. Recommend this women's pack!
Bought this for my wife and she loves it. She 5' 3" and this pack is the perfect size for her and she loves the color. Plenty of pockets and although made of heavier material, it's perfect and actually prefer to some of the other lighter-weight packs we have that seem more prone to tiny tears.
I bought this backpack to serve as a carry-on for my study abroad trip, and while it's nice for what it is, I'm disappointed that it was advertised as "panel loading" when the only access to the main compartment is from the top of the bag or a difficult-to-open bottom "panel." It really is a nice enough backpack, but I'm not sure I'll use it, that I'd buy it again having seen it, or that I'd recommend it.
I bought this a little over a month ago and I love it! It holds a surprising amount of stuff and is super comfortable. I used it for two weeks of travel around Florida on and off a boat and it was amazing.
I purchased this pack to use as both a day pack and a multi-night pack. I was sold on it due to the padding in the shoulder straps, the thick hip supports, and the pockets on them. None of these items disappointed me! The zippers are really strong (I crammed a lot into it and thought for sure I was going to break a zipper -- they held strong!), and the pack itself is incredible comfortable! The bottom zipper was very helpful when setting up camp to easily access my tent, fly, and footprint. I'm returning it because it's just too small for multi-day use (and I'm a minimalist) -- I found that once I put my tent (fly and footprint), sleeping pad, kitchen set/stove, and food in the pack, I didn't have much room for anything else like extra cold weather clothing. And it's too big to use as a day-pack, so - unfortunately - I have to return it and keep looking.
Great day pack. We had one of these before and we got a second one. Does not have an attached rain cover.
I bought this pack as a gift for my sister. She absolutely loved it! She really likes the purple/magenta color, as she said it's very 'girly'. She took this pack with her on a recent trip to Yosemite, and she can't say enough great things about it. Needless to say, I am earning cool points with my sister. I am one happy sister :)
