Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket for Price Birthday present for my wife. Hood? Check. Breathable? Check. Waterproof zippers? Check. She loves it (even the color - hint, not the pink). She also has the Rogue Hoodie from Showers Pass but was looking for something more lightweight for spring/summer wear. This has fit the bill perfectly. Not sure what the other reviewer was talking about, but she wears this bike commuting in the rain and has hiked around in the rain in the Oregon Garden and it has done a great job of keeping her dry. Unless you are wearing vulcanized commercial grade gear (think the Gorton's Fisherman), most waterproof items, when faced with a steady rain (even a light one) are apt to have the outer material/layer get wet, it's the inner fabric that is the waterproof/breathable layer and that is what keeps you dry. Because this jacket only has 2 layers, the inner waterproof layer lies against the skin and can feel clammy even with the raised print on it (She does say it's slightly less comfortable than her lined jacket but she also knew that would be the case). Overall a great present and a great purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeps you dry! This jacket has great long sleeves that don't fall short when on the bike. The longer tail keep your backside free of muddy splashes. The pit zips are easily managed while riding with great zipper pulls. The jacket is designed to wear the hood under the helmet and that will take some getting used to. Kept me dry in light rain. Light and packable. Can't wait to put it to a tougher test!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Multi Use Piece I purchased this jacket after hearing all the great reviews about the Water Proof socks Showers Pass makes. I was very surprised that I was able to get such a nicely built piece at a good price. So far I have been happy with the versatility and water-proofness. If anything changes I will update my review

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed It was everything I was looking for in a rain coat. 1. Waterproof 2. arm vents. (for breathability) 3. pockets 4. hood The problem is 1. Its not waterproof even in a light rain shower, the inside of the coat was soaked (If I hadn't of been wearing layers underneath I would have been soaked Even the pockets that were completely zipped were soaked all the way threw to the lined pockets : ( 2. The Hood should come out further to stop rain from pelting your face It was very breathable for a coat of this material but if it can't keep you dry in a light rain while walking 1 hour, I can't imagine what would happen in a down pour while running or biking... This brand guarantees to keep you dry, for the price it should deliver Severely dissapointed i will be returning

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Must -Have! I've owned the Syncline for some time now and love it. This jacket provides me with complete dryness on but also off the bike. I thought I would only use it as a commuter jacket but have found it as my daily here in Portland. I don't mind that he fit and color are flattering too- just LOVE this jacket- Showers Pass just keeps getting better!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Stylish jacket, but not breathable enough I really wanted to love this jacket, and I hoped it would allow me to reduce the number of jackets I own for biking and hiking in the rain, but it didn't work out that way. The fit and design are great, but the fabric just isn't breathable enough for energetic biking in the rain, and the vents (aka tit zips) don't make much difference.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it. I really love my Jacket. Bought it for a bike touring trip in Washington. I used it for rain a little and many times for warmth. I have green color that really stands out and is visible. I only wish it had the same lining as my Showers Pass rain paints.
