New bikes go through a normal break-in period, after which they should be readjusted. All bicycles sold at REI include free adjustments for one year after purchase date—as many times as you need. Included: derailleur and brake adjustments, lateral wheel truing, hub and headset bearing adjustments, tire inflation and chain lubrication. great bike
I had bought another brand of bike but there were problems with alignment with the front fork and wheel. The bike mechanic at Concord, CA REI suggested this bike was in the same size and type I was looking for. Super bike!! way better in so many ways, I should have bought the Cannondale soon, it is superior. can't say I enough about the bike or the care and treatment from REI personal !!!!!
Excellent Road Bike at Great Price
Was in the market for a new bike and caught this great deal on the Cannondale Quick 3 on sale for $558 on REI (reg. $800). The bike is one of the best bikes I have ever owned - lightweight aluminum frame with carbon forks, easy rolling 700x30 tires, Shimano gears and derailleurs and exclusive REI black color with neon lettering. I am so happy with this bike that I ride more now than ever before because it's fun to ride a lightweight quality bike. My old bike was a mountain bike (heavy, suspension forks, and big knobby tires) and was great for off road riding, but no fun on regular roads. Since I don't ride that much off road, the mountain bike was not a good choice for the road. But, the Cannondale Quick 3 is a great road bike and highly recommended!
