I love this stroller. It's super easy for me to fold and put into my SUV, it's sleek, simple and fun. We live in San Diego, so not only did I require a stroller for sand, but trails and the mountains, too. I also use it for errands and it's slim figure has been wonderful. The covered basket can be annoying (funny that this was the ultimate selling point for my purchase), but once I get everything stuffed in there and it's protected I'm happy. Such as an expensive camera at sea world or the beach. It fits a lot! And every time I look at the stroller I see a different pocket for storage that I didn't see before. I wish accessories were more readily available, but we made do thanks to Amazon. About to purchase the tray at REI. The break is hard! Not sure why they went and did that...!? If I'm wearing flip flops I have to just bend down and unbreak it w my hand. Oh well. Feels sturdier ;)
I have been pushing a BOB revolution since 2012, but before purchased another double jogger, I did a ton of research and found that the Thule Urban Glide has everything the BOB Revolution Pro Duallie has, but is a bit cheaper, lighter and does a lot of things BETTER! I am 5'1'' and LOVE the adjustable handle bar. My 6'1'' husband can use it comfortably too! I have taken it on an 8 mile trail run, jogged on hilly paved roads, trudged through grassy fields and navigated narrow doorways. The under carriage storage is more easily accessed than in the BOB, the seats seem more comfortable and well padded and the visors are sturdier. So glad I made the switch to Thule!
Our single stroller is a bob and it's held up through 3 kids, a half marathon and life lived on trails (with a lot of life still left in it). When we were looking at upgrading to a double, we were looking at the new Thule Urban Glide 2 and the bob duallie. The Thule was a good $100 more so we wanted to make sure we were thorough in assessing before making the investment. The Thule addressed some small annoyances we had with the bob including the viewing flap on the visor having magnets instead of velcro, one-handed seat raising and lowering and a sturdier basket (the mesh basket on the bob began tearing a month after we got it). The handbrake is a must if you live anywhere with hills. What a lifesaver. And the front wheel locks better than the bob (sometimes when I was running with my bob on a mildly bumpy trail, the lock on the front wheel would release making things wild for a minute. Not fun with a baby in tow). The stroller folds easier than the bob (can definitely do with one hand vs. the bob where I needed two each time). Wheels release easily for putting in a trunk or for storage. Handlebar adjusts easily - great since both mom and dad run with this. Excellent visors with good coverage. Some cons are that the carseat adapter and handlebar console were really hard to find (not available at REI nor a lot of other stores). They both have worked great so I'm not sure why they pulled them. I thought I would appreciate the cover on the cargo basket down below, keeping mud off when I ran, but it's more annoying and difficult to access than anything. And my biggest complaint is the food brake. IT IS SO HARD TO ENGAGE IT. Frustratingly hard (not impossible, just challenging enough to make me annoyed every time I have to use it). I miss that the most over my bob. It's not a deal breaker but try before you buy if you can and make sure it's something that will work for you. When we stop along trails, I usually just hold the hand brake rather than going through the trouble of the lower brake but sometimes you have you use it. I also read other reviews on REI (not sure why they're gone now?) about wheels squeaking almost immediately after purchase, but we haven't had any of those problems. This is a great stroller. I'm being super nitpicky but I think at this price point you have to be. We live on a trail system and I run or walk with this thing several times a week. It's been in use for 4 months now and so far it's in excellent shape and works well. But with a few small changes it can be perfect.
I've used this stroller for running and walking over a year with a (now) three year old and a 16 month old. They both fit comfortably in this stroller. This stroller handles great and fits through a standard door way. I like the sleek design. Improvements that need to be made: - The rubber latch that holds it together when it is closed broke and was never easy to use. -This stroller is heavy, large and awkward to lift up to put in a car. I'm 5'6'' and a strong/fit woman. I don't like to use it for day to day use because of that reason. So it stays in the garage and I tend to use it from home. In the video they should show a mom picking it up and loading it into a car. It's NOT easy. -The foam on the handle split, so I used black electricians tape to fix it. -Needs a drink holder and a place to keep a phone.
