A high quality grip with great construction.
I purchased these after replacing the grip shift on my sons RevDrt 24” kids mountain bike. They work beautifully and they are much more secure than the standard slip on rubber grips. These clamp onto the bar and are very tightly secured. I also upgraded the shifter on this bike from a gripshift to a trigger shift. (P/N: SL-M315-8R) from Shimano. With a few small limit adjustments on the derailleur.
The best grips I've tried
The weight that riding MTB places on my wrists has always my hands pain and numbness. It doesn't help that I have relatively big hands (glove size xl-xxl) and most grips are too small in circumference. I've tried many grips over the years, but the Ergon GA2 is that only one that greatly reduces the pain and numbness. FAT for my big ol hands. Added bonus, they're grippy af! Almost too grippy... after a long day riding rough trails these will tenderize your hands. Small price to pay though. Gotta hold onto the handlebar somehow!
Perfect shape and feel
I am very picky when it comes to grips, and spending $30.00 on grips is scary at best. I have been totally impressed with comfort and feel of these grips. The Ergon is slim where i need it to be. The rubber is soft enough to where I can ride without gloves. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a thin yet comfortable grip.
Comfortable hands = happy riding
I've been using Ergon grips for years. Nearly every model on various bikes. The GA2 is a perfect pair for my Santa Cruz Hightower. The shape keeps my hand in a comfortable position climbing and descending. Much better than traditional straight grips. You'll love them.
Great MTB control
Had my initial ride yesterday. These grips feel great. Grip contour is very comfortable. Nice and tacky without limiting hand movement and finger shifting. I thought it would be a little narrow for my hands but no issues. I wear large gloves.
Ergon Handlebar Grips
These grips are great. They are very soft and cushiony. And they slipped right on the handlebar without any lubricant or force. And then you just tighten the clamp and you are ready to go.
Great cushion and support.
I really like the looks, the support is great, i was going for the palm support but this is working great and the grip is great, so it is easy to bike fast
Great material and shape.
Sturdy compound and shape, but too large to be comfortable on long rough rides. They are offered in a small size, but not in stock in stores.
Very nice
Very nice. Much better than the stock grips. Love the feel
Tightens on INSIDE of bar
These groups worked perfectly for me. My handlebars were actually an inch or so too short; the tighten on the inside and are stiff so the grips can hang out that extra inch, effectively lengthening my handlebars. Otherwise I would never spend this much on handlebar grips! They also feel good and grip very well.
