My Go-To Canyoneering Rope
I’ve used this in SoCal and Zion area canyons quite a bit. It’s not a stiff as some specialized canyoneering ropes can be, but is still nicely stiff enough to not easily whip into knots on the pull. Perfect thickness for Totem rappel device and the VT-Prussic to both work effectively.

good canyon and anchor-building rope
I bought this rope primarily to build TR anchors with, but also for rappelling as needed. I cut the rope in half for my use—plenty long enough to build anchors where I climb, and with a nice long tail for lowering over the edge to the master point to hang the climbing rope and full inspection. While this rope is not as supple as an equivalent dynamic rope, it is easy enough to tie off all standard knots and hold them. This rope is very strong and tough, and perfect for the application. The bright color is a win for me as well.
Worked Great in the canyons of Utah
I got the rope for a canyoneering trip to Utah. It was one of the easiest ropes i used on the trip. Its sheath held up very well to the rough sandstone when we pulled it down from the rappels and it thin diameter made light and easier to pack the thicker options. It might not be the best rope but it sure gets the job done well.
Great canyoneering rope
I've used this rope for about a dozen different Utah canyons. The only potential negative is that it is a stiff rope. However, it is a very durable rope that doesn't get weighed down with sand and water and doesn't tangle when thrown. Great for canyoneering when you never know if that next rappel will be dry.
Super Stiff
I wanted to like this rope as it is made in the USA and by such a respected brand. I've had the rope for roughly 6 months. And I've used the rope roughly 10 time or so. Pros: Durable - Held up well in my latest trip to sandstone abuse Cons: Heavy The rope is very stiff Hard to handle because of the stiffness I've tried multiple techniques to soften it. But it seems to make little difference. Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend this product due to having experience with other better products.
Good stiff rope for wet canyons/waterfalls
It is a good rope for what it is made for. It is a stiff rope. But, that stiffness helps in not getting any knots or tangles on it when one throws it down a waterfall or clift. So I can feel good about throwing without a rope bag. For a 9mm one rappels a bit slow. I think the stiffness helps to slow down the absales so it may be good for some people. As it can help with having more control. For a 9mm it does feel a bit heavy but not by much. Although it has a lot of friction and one rappales slower than most ropes its size, I won't recommend it as an entry level. I prefer the entry level to be in the 10.5 to 11.5 range. It will provide a better grip on the brake side to people starting to get used to that. Tinder rope may feel harder to hold. For some reason I also like the color. Not typically what I would go for, but I like it. Something that I notice too is when you pull to get your rope bag that stiffness helps. but since it is a bit too stiff for a 9mm i'm only giving 4 stars
A very stiff rope.
For a 9mm, almost $200 rope, I expected this to be very flexible and easy to handle. But it when it arrived, it was so stiff that when I took the plastic "zip tie" things off, it didn't even move an inch. I unraveled, de-knotted, and re tied it up and it was a workout just trying to work with it. The quality and integrity of the rope seem sound. Should work as expected with the exception of the stiffness. I am really hoping that it works itself into a more flexible rope after a few uses. If possible, I'll update my review once tested.
Flossed
Reasonable rope for most uses. However, I don’t believe the sheath is as tough as it should be. If you’re doing a lot of jugging and don’t protect the rope where it rubs the rock, you will floss the rope.
