I went through an extensive search and a few returns to find the pack that would come as close to the maximum dimension for under the seat on a Southwest flight. This is about perfect. It has a laptop compartment with room for papers, a generous main compartment, front organizer pockets, and side pouches for water bottles (both small and large water bottles readily fall out if it). Besides ineffective water bottle pouches, the only thing I don't like about it is the handle on the back. It feels like a security risk.
Very excited about this bag! I own the Borealis backpack and it has held up great but I was unhappy with how compact it is for the purpose of a school bag, so this bag is better suited for my spacial needs. I love the front pocket as well as the straps I feel that they are less restrictive when zipping and unzipping the bag. The second pocket is less restricted than my current bag because there isn't the wire in the front. I'd say my only concern is the straps which the way they are attached seems faulty like they may rip at some point, I think the straps on the borealis bag I own is sturdier and well constructed. All in all the north face backpacks overall are durable and reliable so I would recommend.
Love this backpack. It is very comfortable to wear for long periods of time, and I love how compact and easy it is. I just had a weekend getaway visiting my brother out of state, and it was the perfect size and made traveling very easy. The extra strap on the outside of the bag is a nice touch. It is very easy to clean with simply cloth and water..it looks smaller than the advertised picture but can fit a LOT-- I probably could fit a whole week's worth of clothes in there. But yet it is still small enough to use for a day hike. I really don't have any complaints about this bag. OH-- the laptop sleeve DOES fit my Acer chromebook 15in...I was afraid it wouldn't. Cheers!
I bought this backpack because my precious North Face one (purchased 4+ years ago) finally started breaking down. I generally use the backpack for school (I am now a college sophomore) and for traveling as a carry-on. Similarly to the old pack it's very lightweight, but can still hold a lot and is comfortable (that said, the straps are a little scratchy on my arms when I'm wearing a tank top). I really like the new laptop and tablet pockets, they make me feel like my devices are a lot safer then in previous versions of the pack. I purchased the blue (it says green on the site but clearly is blue) and grey diamond design backpack and love the simple, but fun design. I would definitely recommend this backpack to everyone as it is durable, functional, and stylish.
Previously had a Recon, in middle school into high school and loved it. When it was finally time to get a new one, I wanted the same backpack. It was comfortable and fit everything I needed it to while protecting my laptop. Bought a new one < 2 years ago that was the model before the redesign and the back has already started to rip and show the foam underneath near the base of the backpack. As a poor college student, this was an expensive purchase for me and I am extremely disappointed with the quality of the new backpacks and will probably need to buy a new one shortly. It will probably not be another North Face.
I am a high school student and it fits all my binders. Luckily, I can leave all my textbooks at home because I wouldn't to be able to fit everything in there, but it would be hard to find a backpack that could! There is lots of pockets for my pens, pencils, highlighters, etc. The pocket without the zipper in the front is great for carrying my little purse and lunch and the bottle pockets on the side are great and don't let my bottle slide out. The straps are comfy and the computer slip is great. My favorite part is the top pocket that is lined for my phone and my sunglasses, easy access!
I really like this backpack. It is large & holds a lot of stuff inside. However, when I ordered this backpack it was supposed to come in white with green and coral accents. Instead the backpack I got was all green with a few coral accents. I was starting school & needed a backpack ASAP so I didn't have the time to send it back. The color it came in actually quite ugly & I really hate that part about it. I get a little annoyed with it being the wrong color every time I look at it. I am considering purchasing this bag again, but hopefully in the correct color, once I save enough money.
I bought this for my freshman year of college, and so far I love it! It takes a while to get it perfect comfort wise because there are many options of comfort adjustability, but once you get it right for you it's amazing!
Well I never owned a Prada, maybe used many of friends bags and they can't even compare to my NEW NORTHFACE Backpack. I truly love it. I asked for the bag for my birthday and my friends got me a gift card so I could chose the best bag for me. I am a 4 year PhD student and never had a book bag till this year.... lol :). Just when classes are over for me i wantes a bookbag. But this bag is more than just a bookbag.... Its my life, everything from lunch to thesis notes and wallet, money bag, overnight clothes for lab. In short NorthFace Bags are the BOMB DIGGY. - great bag, :)
I use this every day at college. I walk long distances to classes as well as pack a heavy computer in it. It makes getting to classes much easier is very weather proof and durable!!
