When I bought them I thought they were the ankle high socks. I was a little disappointed when I opened the package and realized I had bought the wrong ones. After l tried them on I again realized that these socks are going to be great for winter because they are higher up the leg and they will keep my legs warm. The injinji socks are the only socks I wear. They are very comfortable and have no seam going across my toes and they don't twist around in my shoes. If anyone has a problem with their toes as I do, I would highly recommend the injinji socks. I love these socks. I will definitely be back to buy more, both the ankle high and the crew.
I wore these on a weekend backpacking trip as a sock liner between my skin and a pair of thicker hiking socks. By the end of the weekend (30 miles total), there was a hole in one of the socks along the ball of my foot. Although they were comfortable, I would not recommend wasting any amount of money on a pair of socks that lasts one weekend.
After only wearing these 4 times, my toes are coming through. They fit great but not worth the cost.
I love how these socks feel, but they just don't last. I've had bad luck in using them as liners when it comes to durability, and they won't even make it through a weekend backpacking trip as standalone socks. Sadly these are the only toes socks I've found thus far that don't irritate me between the toes on downhills. A positive that I rarely see mentioned that applies to toe socks in general is that they make walking with soaked feet far less gross feeling, and of course there are many other benefits to toes socks as well that apply to these. If they could figure out a way to make a durable, pliable and thin toe sock I'd be on board, but my wallet cannot abide these.
These sock liners are an absolute game changer for me. Even on an average day-hike I would always get blisters after a few miles. I recently had my first multi-day backpacking trip and I was dreading the toll my feet would take, so on a recommendation I bought a pair of these and slipped them on underneath my regular wool hiking socks. No blisters at all throughout the course of the trip! These socks also kept my feet surprisingly dry despite three days of rain and a sketchy river crossing. If you have problems with toe blisters like me, consider these an essential piece of gear!
Thin, yes, but still enough to wear alone; no second sock necessary! I really appreciated these since my feet swell/expand as I transition to zero drop. There is more material around the toes which may necessitate a wider toe box. If you are already just fitting in your shoe, these may cause tightness at the toes. 1. Prevent friction blisters 2. Allow toes to communicate with the rest of you regarding the terrain 3. Helps with moisture management 4. Could result in lack of freedom of movement if your toe box is already just fitting But for me, in Topo Pursuits, I love them!
First toe sock liners I've tried. Best liners EVER of any kind after decades of wearing hiking boots. I bought Large size for my 11-11.5 man feet. These adjust to my toes and feet for a nice fit and surprising great comfort. They don't look very strong, but are holding up well so far. Perfect under a pair of boot socks. My toes keep cooler, no rubbing, no blisters, with less toe pressure felt on steep descents. While putting them on it takes a little longer to get all the pups into where they go, but it's worth it! I first bought one pair to try. Love them so much I now have three pair!
I was pretty hesitant about these.. For one I don't really like wearing socks in general, and the idea of toe socks has always been a turn off... but after getting these babies on your feet and putting some miles in on the hiking trail - I'm convinced they are worth giving a try. I wear wide toe box shoes and sometimes hiking on uneven terrain can cause my toes to move around more than i'd like and these have completely eliminated toe blisters and even seem to make my foot stay more properly seated in my shoe. They do seem like they'll wear down quick, but having comfortable feet at the end of a long trail day is worth it.
These socks are, as my uncle used to say, “the best thing since sliced bread!” My wife and I used these toe socks every day walking the Camino de Santiago 4 years ago and neither of us has and blisters nor hot spots in over 1000 km. My feet sweat profusely and I have always used liner socks when hiking or backpacking since my teens. Until I used Injinji Liner socks I would get the occasional bunching or hotspot and a few times even a blister. But with Injinji socks I have never had a problem with bunching, hotspot or blisters. Now, I never put on my hiking socks, boot/shoes with out first putting on my Injinji Liner socks. Between my wife and I we have 10 pairs of Injinjis.
I have always gotten blisters while hiking and this would limit how far I could go. The injinji liners have made my hiking experiences so much more enjoyable. I used to only be able to think about how much my feet hurt while hiking and now I'm able to hike much further pain free. These are perfect under a pair of smart wool or darn tough socks. They wick away moisture really efficiently. They are worth every penny and all socks should be toe socks. Blisters? What blisters?
