The best pair of underwear I've ever worn!
The only thing better than these panties is no panties. The fabric and construction is great. The fit is spot on, very true to size, not too high but doesn't feel like grandma picked them out. Love them! Will definitely be ordering more! I typically wear a size 8-10 in jeans and 12-14 in dresses, 5'8", 185lbs and the large fit me.

Quality Went Down a Lot
The first Patagonia underwear I ever bought lasted a really long time, justifying the $20 price tag fully. I am still using the second pair I ever bought. However, recent purchases have been far less fortunate. For most, the seam that holds the fold at waist just disintegrates. This I can fix though reluctantly. However the latest pair will go back to REI next time I visit the store - they lasted two months only. In this pair, the elastic around the leg is falling apart. This problem is unfixable, and happened in another pair that was older - but as I had no idea how old, I just trashed them. This is pretty disappointing as I was used to relying on the quality, but I can no longer do that.

seriously the best undies ever made

I have worn the Patagonia active briefs for women for at least 17 years. So long time owner/wearer, first time reviewer. They are extremely comfortable, dry quickly, and stay put - all the key qualities in undies. In fact, I want underwear that is so comfortable I'm not aware of it at all during the day or during any type of activity - backpacking, sitting at my desk working, skiing, etc. These fit my needs perfectly. I highly recommend them and Patagonia, if you are reading this - please do not ever stop making them. I plan to wear them for another 50 years (or more).

Not what they used to be.

I have had only Patagonia briefs for years. They have lasted several years but I decided to order new ones just because I've had the same underwear for several years.....yes they were that amazing in quality and wear. The new ones are not the same and have already started unravelling and have a totally different feel to them. Quality has gone down considerably. Sending them all back. So sad about this..... thought I had found my underwear for life.

Fit and fabric has changed; not in a good way

I've been buying these underwear for the past several years, and they are the only ones I wear now. They have consistently been wonderful. I purchased 3 of the 2017 version however, and when I went to try them on I was shocked at how much they had changed: the fabric was stiffer and much less comfortable, the waistband thicker and also less comfortable, and most of all, the shape has changed: they are more like the hipster briefs or bikini style than the truer briefs they were in the past - now the leg holes are cut much higher and the waist cut much lower. I never felt that these were "granny briefs" - they were just moderate briefs that felt good. I'm going to return these and wait for a (hopefully) redesign.

quality problems

I'm having the same problem with Patagonia active underwear that other reviewers note. All the pairs that I have purchased in the last year or so started coming unraveled at the seams after only a few wears. I am tremendously disappointed, because these are by far the most comfortable and flattering active underwear I have ever owned. I wish Patagonia would address this issue ASAP.

Stink Factor

Quality has gone way down in these Patagonia undies. I have a few pairs from several years ago that are in excellent condition--they're super comfy, haven't stretched out, and they don't smell bad. But my recent Patagonia undies feel different--the fabric is more silky, instead of the brushed feeling the older undies have. The elastic in the legs is coming off, and they are developing a bad odor even though they're hand washed soon as I'm finished my workout. I'm disappointed with the quality and I hope Patagonia goes back to its excellent quality of a few years back.

Disappointing for Humid/Tropical Climates

I work in the deep Amazon Rainforest and decided it was time to invest in a pair or two of quick-drying underwear, so I bought these and quick-dry underwear of a comparable brand on this site. I was looking for the following criteria to be satisfied 1) That they would dry quickly in humid conditions 2) That they not smell in said humid conditions and 3) That they be comfortable to wear. In the middle of tropical rainy season, I know it's hard for many things to dry, but it took 2-3 days for the Patagonia underwear to dry completely. They also developed an odor because of humidity and normal wear and I didn't feel like they were breathable. That said, they were very comfortable and are very "cute." But overall, I plan to return these as soon as I can because they were not satisfying for humid and tropical climates in my experience. Perhaps in other activewear settings, but not for me.

Great fit - poor quality

I loved the fit of these underwear, but they started falling apart within a few wears. The seams came undone around the waist. For the price they should be better quality. I have a couple other pairs of underwear by Patagonia and a few are doing the same thing.

Excellent Active Briefs

Have had these over a year now, and alternate between 7 pairs. Have held up and were excellent in Africa. Was able to wash that evening and they were dry in the morning. On one instance, when needed faster, they were dry within 3 hours. Would highly recommend for trips and working out.
