Sizing notes

Rock Shoes: Scarpa recommends you downsize 1/2 to 2 full sizes from street shoe size, though downsizing depends on shoe model, intended use and personal preference. Mountaineering: Scarpa recommends you upsize 1/2 size or more depending on desired fit. Scarpa plastic mountaineering boots are based on the UK sizing scale. Ski Boots: All Scarpa ski bootsare measured in Mondo sizing.Highlighted (or not) sizes share the same shell size; the liners are lasted for each 1/2 size. Some skiers may want to downsize up to 1 full Mondo size, depending upon personal preference.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Scarpa Maestrale RS Randonee Boots I tried on many Randonee/AT boots, and landed on this one. It is an excellent balance of light weight, and power. This boot is stiff enough to ski the resorts, if you're looking for one boot to do it all. I like the fold away front tongue, as it makes getting into the boot easier (with a little practice). Not everyone likes this feature, but I do. The walk/ski mode change is as easy as you can get. Flip the wire bale in the back, with gloves on, and you're set. I loosen the top two buckles and strap for long tours, but for shorter tours the boot flex in walk mode is enough. The fit was good, mainly due to the mold-able Intuition liners. If the shell/liner fits your foot, you can't go wrong with this boot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile and great quality I bought these for glacier skiing, mostly on and around Denali. However one never gets enough milage just Rondonee so I started down hilling with them. Last winter skied about 1,000,000 vertical feet in bounds on them with very good control even on aggressive hard pack. Warm, comfortable light and versatile. The Intuition liners are quite good, but do tend to pack out after 50 full days of skiing.
