Good, but Not Great
Patagonia needs to make their jackets American size, not European. I wear an XL with every other jacket or shirt except Patagonia. This thing was too tight, and I'm not sure if Patagonia is simply trying to skimp on cost. But as expensive as their jackets are, this thing should fit perfectly. Also, while the jacket is warm for the size, can we update the shell a bit Patagonia? This thing rips at the drop of a dime. Don't even think of getting it near a fence or a flame. Let's update the jacket some, and get a shell that is firmer and one that doesn't melt if you're roasting marshmallows. Aside from that the jacket is warm and thin, making it very portable. It just greatly needs an update to address the issues mentioned.

Great jacket but too fragile for price
Honestly, most would say I’m crazy for rating this jacket so low. Here’s the thing- it IS a great jacket; super warm and comfortable. However, for the price I think Patagonia can do better at making it hold up and not get small tears in the fabric and leak down feathers. I have very minimal casual use with this jacket, yet have a half a dozen patches on it. That’s no bueno and frankly doesn’t deserve 5 stars.

Super cozy and lightweight

I've been wearing this jacket around town for about a week now, and I have to say I'm really impressed with it. It's incredibly lightweight and comfortable. I was a little concerned about fit when I ordered it, since sometimes Patagonia is a little unpredictable, bit it's very much true to size. I've walked the dog on a morning in the low 20s, and I've walked back and forth to work in the upper 40s-lower50s, and found it to be exactly the right amount of insulation in all of those settings. I stayed dry even in some moderate rain/snow mix. The hood fits great, even without any way to adjust it around the face (has a pull in the back). Highly recommend.

Excellent Down Jacket

When looking for a down jacket I had researched and tried on so many that it was really overwhelming. Ultimately, I choose this down jacket for the following reasons: First, the fit and quality of the jacket is superb. Second, I've been wearing the jacket for about a week and have not noticed any down leaking from the seams. Third, several other jackets I tried on were very uncomfortable when fully zipped. This jacket has a soft velour to cover the zipper so it does not dig into the chin. Fourth, Patagonia has an amazing warranty on their products.

Comfortable, Warm

Love this jacket - it's definitely my go to from freezing temperatures to about 58 degrees. I am 5'11" 165lbs and the medium fits me perfect. There's room to layer with a base layer or fleece without feeling tight. Still constantly surprised by how warm it can keep me with just a t shirt underneath - great for Boston winters. I've taken it to the top of Mt. Rainer, Mt. Washington, and Iceland - solid product.

The Jacket I never knew I needed!

This jacket fits like a glove. I’m 6’3” 190lbs, and the Large fit great. Normally because I have long arms the sleeves end up being too short, but this jacket fit great. It’s perfect for cold weather in the single digits, all the way up to 40 degrees. It can get warm but that makes it perfect to wear with minimal layers underneath. I have a nano puff without the hood, so this was a good alternative for colder days where a hood is needed.

Lifesaver

I like the idea of my gear being packable and condensible and this was both! I went hiking for a week in colorado where the temperature in Denver was 90 but on any 14er it was easily 30 degrees and thankfully I had this jacket in my pack otherwise I would have froze! Packs nicely into its pocket and comes out nicely. Hood can be tightened to seal from the wind getting inside.

Light, warm, looks good

I love this jacket. It's high quality, ethical down, which makes for a lightweight and seriously warm jacket. It's great around 30F with just a t-shirt underneath. With a thin fleece jacket underneath I can go much lower - I recently wore it in single digit temps with negative windchill and was fine. And it looks great.

Great Fit / Very Warm

I tried several similar products in the mid-weight and mid-layer down category and Patagonia seemed to have the best fit and construction. Couple that with Patagonia's reputation for warrantying their products and I was sold. I once brought back a fleece 9 years after purchase for a broken zipper and the gave me a brand new fleece. Nevertheless, I wold have given 5 stars but I do not love the color options Patagonia has and why I usually steer clear of their products (unless I'm in the market for grey or black). The style leaves a bit to be desired too, but the two most important things - fit and utility -are perfect. I consider myself usually between sizes at 6ft and 185lbs so I toggle between large and medium depending on product fit and style. The medium fit me perfectly here. This is pretty standard for Patagonia products for me and my aging athletic frame. I hike a lot in the white mountains of NH and this serves as a second mid-layer in colder weather hikes under a Northface Freethinker Goretex shell - the combo that is perfect for keeping cozy in high winds and low temps.

Try for size before you buy

Ordered on line. This Down Sweater Hoodie in Navy Blue didn't fit in shoulders and wouldn't fit in chest and waist, even though tagged and labeled as a M Medium. My assessment is that this Men's Medium was not cut to fit men.... I have a Patagonia medium down vest and medium nano puff. Both fit perfectly, so this was an anomaly. When I returned it at an REI store a very helpful slim lady employee tried it on -- it fit her perfectly, and she wears a Woman's Medium. Returned the Down Sweater Hoodie and ordered a replacement. Same problem with replacement.
