Sturdy but uncomfortable for child

It's sturdy and easy to put together, but my son (who is almost 2) started crying after only 1/2 mile on a trip. He kept saying "Ow mommy". Well once my husband and I looked at how the seat is constructed, we realized it's not very supportive so he was feeling every bump and crack in the sidewalk. I really like how easy it is to put together, sturdy and how it has actual tires --- plus it's really easy to bike with --- so my husband and i are going to try and find a way to make the seat more comfortable for our son(s). If I remember, I will update this with my recommendations.

Nice but bumpy

I agree with the other review about bumps. We bought this when our daughter was 2.5 and have logged many miles with it, both in the US and overseas. Although a great product and we have enjoyed it, next time we would spend the extra money to get the Burley model with the shocks. Our daughter feels every bump in the road. Another slight issue is that when she is sitting in the middle with her seat belt and helmet on, the netting behind her pushes her head forward a bit because of the helmet, so she can't really lean her head back to relax. (Would always recommend that kids wear a helmet, even in this as things can happen). Overall, we have used it and enjoyed it, just some small issues

Read the two previous reviews

Hi folks , just read your reviews about the baby bike trailer. If I may make a suggestion for a smoother, less jarring ride for baby … let some air out of the tires. And yes, although it will cause a little more drag for the pull , it will supply a much more cushiony ride for baby . Happy trails !!

Great product for the money!

We have had this bike trailer for over two years and our family loves it! It is the second bike trailer we have owned. With the previous trailer, we had frequent flat tires, it did not set up easily and it was uncomfortable for our kids. Our kids fight over who gets to ride in the Burley...and our older son just turned 7! It is a great quality product and perfect for the amount of recreational riding that we do. We mostly use the trailer on smooth pavement and our kids love the comfortable ride. It sets up and attaches to your bike in less than five minutes. I will say we have never been able to get two kids to ride in the trailer at the same time. With helmets on, there is not much space for their heads. They would also get too warm with their bodies against each other. But for one child at a time it has been great! If you do a lot of riding, or tend to ride on more rugged terrain, I would upgrade to a more expensive Burley. The #1 thing I have learned about bike trailers for kids is to always pay the extra money for a Burley!
