Rated 5 out of 5 by from A neat, tidy, organized suitcase! I bought this set for a three week trip to Europe and they were wonderful. I put pants, skirts, sweaters, and shirts in the garment folder. I rolled the t-shirts and knit dresses and put them in the middle size bag and I put my lingerie and nightgown in the smallest bag. The bags hold much more than you'd expect and they keep it all neat, clean and organized. The inside of my suitcase looked great! I love these bags!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hassle-free packing?--- get EC Pack-It Specter! I purchased the first set for travel to a formal family occasion. Suit was packed in the folder. It stayed there overnight because spouse was so tired to unpack. The suit stayed wrinkle-free the next morning. With starter set, luggage is organized making retrieval of items convenient. I wonder if mesh and silnylon can be sewn together making it easier to see what items are inside. The opening of cubes should be wider. Right now, zipper stops about few inches from the other corner. A young family member who saw my first purchase got so excited ( and this is not an excitable person) and wanted a set. I got 2 more sets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Travel Made Easy As a road warrior, I find myself in 100's of hotels, often for 1-2 nights at a time. Prior to traveling with Eagle Creek, the pack/unpack routine was grueling. I travel solely with carry-on luggage so efficiency and ease of packing out my suitcase to maximize space is essential. Before amassing an entire collection of Eagle Creek organizers I started with the Pack-It Specter Starter Set. After one trip, I was thoroughly impressed with how convenient my hotel pack/unpack routine became and the rest is history. Whether my travels have me in Canada's subzero in the winter, the sandy beaches in Florida, or rural central America, I'm taking Eagle Creek with me wherever I go!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Took a Chance on These I took a chance on these, as I've never used packing cubes before. Now I'm a convert. I was able to pack for three weeks in Southern Spain and Morocco in a 23" suitcase. This included clothes for temperatures in range from 50s to mid 70s. There were four of us in a small European SUV, and being able to pack in a smaller bag was a plus. I'm now a convert. Came home, emptied them out, repacked some of them into a duffle bag to go a day later to The Keys for a week. The shirt/sweater packing device is the best. None of my shirts or sweaters wrinkled, and I was able to compact so many of them into a small space. My husband took one look at mine and ordered a set for himself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally! I am Organized. I travel frequently for work and I find that I keep everything short of the kitchen sink in my suitcase. This has made for a jumbled mess and an extremely heavy bag. Late one night I started reading some blogs by Rick Steves on packing. Eagle Creek products came up on his blog and in the comments. After checking out some videos and reader comments, I purchased this set. I love the pack-it board and the bags for organization. It is nice to finally have a plan for what needs to go where in my suitcase. The one drawback I see, these organizers and Eagle Creek could become addictive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth it! Love it! Admittedly rather expensive considering other much cheaper stuff sacks on the market, but undeniably convenient and absurdly lightweight. It really does make packing so much more organized. I have a stuff sack that is in between the two zip sacks in size. If time and convenience is your game, then yes, there is a difference and it is worth the buy. I also have some canvas zip sacks, which are definitely more durable, but also more clunky and less packable if maximizing every nook and cranny is your game. Haven't used the folder yet, but anticipating thorough satisfaction. Planning to get more for my family. I have young girls and I am so over searching for tiny socks and such.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from lightweight I own several Pack-It systems. I just bought the Specter Starter Set. Great lightweight cubes that when filled fit nicely into luggage to maximize the space, especially when packed with soft clothing items. I am a little skeptical about the durability, but time will tell. I particularly wanted the envelope because it was a lightweight option compared to my classic ones. I am disappointed with the placement of the Velcro tabs. The 2 sides are not attached to the envelope in a way that maximizes the contact of both sides. If you look closely at the photo, you see what I am talking about. If you do not stuff the envelope, you will not have much space saving compression. This is because the Velcro strips on interior flaps will barely touch. On the exterior flap Velcro, the loop strip is very long, but useful for compression only if you over fill. The fuzzy Velcro side runs across the envelope, so the attachment to the loop side is not maximized. In my experience, despite the lack of contact, the envelope holds together and does not open. I will probably sew additional Velcro strips (loop side) to my envelope. EC has very thoughtfully designed products. I'm curious why this particular product was designed this way. The classic envelopes are not like that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes travel a snap! We bought this about a year ago for travel with children. This is a wonderful solution for packing, including dress clothing. I love the white / semi see- through fabric. These are SO handy! I recently tried a packing cube with double sides. This is also convenient for packing, but I prefer Eagle Creek White see through color and light weight material. I try to pack as many children's things into one suitcase. Using this system is incredible. My things stay separate and don't smash together and get mixed as I pull one item out. I never feel the need to keep re-packing along the way, on trips. My husband, loves them and is happy with using both sets for himself! :) I can' t image how I traveled with out them now!

What is the actual weight of all 3 packing cubes? The Spec show .6 oz - is it *really* 17 grams? I don't think the zippers alone could weigh that little.

Asked by: Steve C
The .6 ounce weight listed in specs is for the half cube. The cube weighs 1 ounce and the garment folder 8 ounces. Total weight for all three pieces is 9.6 ounces.

Are these just normal cubes or compression cubes

Asked by: Goose
These are normal packing cubes, not compression cubes.
