Very comfortable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All of my boys have worn these pants. I have one son who is particularly picky that will no longer wear zip offs as the zippered part is uncomfortable. Occasionally, they lose the zip off bottoms of the pants. For the most part, however, they love how comfortable these pants are and their freedom of movement while hiking, climbing and quickdry. We live in the mountains, so everywhere we go is a hike, really. These are the only pants that don’t pick up stickers and hitchhikers when walking through our property and anywhere off trail. When we cross through streams or waterfalls, we don’t have to worry as these will dry quickly. Very versatile!

Nice Pants, too tight

Versatile use, nice color, texture and drape, but not true to size. Will need to exchange 12 for 14.

Great Pant, Questionable Fit

We bought two of these pants for our 12 year old son (average height and weight) online. The form and function are great, and he was very excited to wear them to outdoor school. When we got them though, the fit was not good. He's normally a straight down the middle youth medium, but these were very tight around the waist and backside, and a tiny bit short. We returned them and replaced with a youth large, and they were way too long and he was swimming in them around the waist. Our friends bought the same pant (next size up) and had the same problem. Definitely plan on trying them on first!

Excellent Light Weight Pants

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I expected something that felt a bit rough like nylon - instead, this fabric is soft and flexible. They are also amazingly lightweight, and my son hardly feels any heat from them at all. It is a little challenging to put the removable part of the legs back on, but they come off easily! There are also plenty of useful pockets. Excellent versatility for summer camp, when you can't even begin to guess exactly what the weather will bring! My son is growing out of size 14 now, and there is enough extra length (not so much that he trips over the hem) and room in the waist for him to grow.

Not the best constructed pants

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these zip offs for traveling. We bought 2 pairs. But the zipper in the pair we received was not sewn exact so it was very hard to get the pants to zip on. In addition, within a week of wearing it, the pants had a hole because something hooked onto it. I think the fabric is so thin that it could not stand up to normal kids' wear and tear. Sadly, I'm not sure what other brands to buy so I bought more. But I'll be on the lookup for better constructed pants.

Best of what's hard to find.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great product. Wish there were more options like these pants for my two outdoor-active boys. Although I'm not a fan of convertible pants, these do better as pants or shorts than most other brands. The belt loops are too small for standard web belts though. I bought a pair for each of my son's who wear a size apart from each other (10-12/M and 14-16/L) in most brands; the L fits true to size but the M is quite a bit small.

Great pants!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought these for my son to take on a long backpacking trip. Wanted something light and durable and these fit the bill. Plus they look great too! In fact when they came and I showed them to my son, he thought they were dress pants because they looked so nice and was surprised when I said no they are for backpacking/hiking. Do lightweight, durable and nice looking, plus adjustable waistband. What more could a person want?

Great Pants/shorts

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the kids normal size but had to return and move a size down. We live in Idaho and go camping often. Our summer comes very late but the mosquitoes come early! These pants are great for the kids, they have the bottom part on in the morning and evening and take them off during the day. The kids do not want to wear pants in the summer, it is a fight every year but no more with these pants!!

Exactly as advertised

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Product fit perfect and was received promptly. Also love the look, a excellent quality product, I have received numerous compliments on them. How often does that happen with a pair of pants, will buy more for sure. Love the sizing chart so I can order the right size with no guesswork involved. 5 star product in my humble opinion and I am not an easily impressed Customer. High marks all around.

Boy's Pants Large on Adult

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm adult male with a 28 inch waist so it is often difficult to find pants that fit in adult sizes. I bought these pants XL boys in hopes that they would fit well. Unfortunately there were about 2 inches extra room in waist. The inseam seemed long as well. Mine is 30in. The legs were baggy as well. The quality of the pants seems quite good and if I were to buy again, I would try the L boys.
