Wow! The perfect blanket for everything
I love this blanket. I bought it for a trip winter cabin trip and plan to use during my camping trips. I was nervous because this seems expensive and wasn't a "performance" fabric but I was wrong. This blanket is so warm and comfortable - for most indoor nights its all you need or you can layer it for extra warmth. Not scratchy at all. It's not just a piece for camping that you break out a few times a year. I use this everyday in my home. I can put it on my queen size bed and it fits just fine (for one person). My dog always tries to steal it when I get up from the couch. I think its versatility makes it well worth the money.
Great blanket but…
I loved this blanket for the two days I’ve had it but tonight I went to flick the blanket outward to fold it up and the stitching just flew off the edge. Bizarre.. I’m hoping this is just bad luck and not a representation of the quality. I’ll be returning it as a defective product and buy it again.
This blanket is amazing!
I was looking for new blankets for my bed and I wanted something versatile. I thought the colors of this were gorgeous (I got the hemrich stripe) and then I saw the price. I'm not one to spend a great deal on things, bargains are my BFF, however I read the reviews and decided to give it a whirl. Definitely not disappointed. I'd also like to mention I have issues with wools feeling pretty itchy so that added to the skepticism, however, I have had no issues with itchiness and its rather soft and extremely comfortable. Let's not forget warm either! Definitely a quality product. The twin size fits my full size bed perfectly.
A Pendleton You Won’t Be Afraid to Use
All Pendleton, but at an affordable price, so you can use it as intended, i.e., camping. Suitable with a ground pad by itself in milder weather or on a camp or cabin bed, of course. If you don’t know how, learn to properly wrap yourself in a wool blanket for outdoor sleeping - it’s more effective than you might think. Watch the sizing, though. I find the Yakima in a twin size is OK for me, but I’m 5’8.5”. Simple, but durable blanket-stitched edge. Napped. While not as soft as the far more expensive Pendleton Native American and National Park blankets, I still don’t find it the least itchy. It’s a good medium-weight blanket.
Great product!
I am a longtime pendleton fan. this blanket though is a new kind of purchase. it is not as big or as heavy as previous ones I've purchased so I was concerned about whether it would be a good mid-weight choice for my home. I should not have worried. It is great!. It is light enough to layer under a comforter without pulling the covers all over but is still quite warm even on it's own. We have used it to take the edge off cool evenings and as a layer and it has been terrific. It is on our bed right now and my spouse and I love it.I would recommend this for home or camp or car or stadium, it's that versitile.
Awesome blanket!
Huge fan of wool and this blanket doesn't disappoint! soft & warm. Always on our couch ready for use. We also take it family camping when we don't need bulky sleeping bags. A second blanket will be in our future.
Amazingly comfortable and versatile
I've taken this blanket with me on numerous adventures: car camping, dates on the beach, watching the sunset on a cold evening, just to name a few. Heck, I even use it on the couch when I'm not planning on traveling. It's very warm, very comfortable, and the missus loves it! On the downside, it is fairly large (almost takes up the entire space in my Large Fjallraven rucksack, ~25L) and doesn't compress well, making it difficult to lug around. you also have to dry clean it - but, these are caveats that are to be expected with a heavyweight wool blanket.
Fabulous Alaskan Wedding Gift.
I bought this blanket as a wedding gift. I was not 100 percent sure of this blanket as it was not on the couples registry. While I was waiting in line to check out there was a young couple in front of me. I asked if they were a couple and they responded yes. I asked if they got this as a wedding gift what they would think. They both laughed and then agreed that they would absolutely love it. I felt reassured that I chose well. They then told me they were getting married in a week. I congratulated them, but kept the blanket as my gift to my friends.
Perfect blanket
Bought this for work as I do 24 hour shift work. Go to sleep in warm temps (70F) and wake up in fairly cold temps (50F) due to some anamolies in dorm location. This wool blanket does a perfect job of thermo regulation and I get my best sleep in years. It also does not rustle like a sleeping bag and does not wake other employees when I get up. LOVE THIS BLANKET... and I would purchase again.
Great for camping/keeping cool in warm bedroom
I used this on my first car camping trip along with a lightweight sleeping bag and a Thermarest Mondoking air mattress. I was very comfortable in overnight temps of high 30's to low 40's. The most pleasant surprise, however, was using this at home before my trip. I live in a mid-level condo that stays very warm--I never have to turn on the heater in winter and leave my bedroom window cracked overnight until the temps reach single digits. It's not ideal for sleeping because the temperature in my bedroom rarely drops below 72 degrees, and I'm usually too hot, but still need something heavier than sheets on me. This blanket has kept me cool and comfortable. I may have to buy a larger size to keep on my bed as I purchased a twin size for camping.
