Super ergonomic light weight piece of gear
I had been on a journey for dozens of minutes, hungry within the depths of REI. I didn't think I would make it, until I found this Pro Bar. My shaking legs carried it's almost imperceptible weight, along with my famished body, to the counter. After struggling to open my wallet, the wrapper tore at my first request. I barely managed to bring the cookie-like goodness to my lips, but I stand here today as a testament to my success. Chewy caloric goodness rushed into my body, keeping alive long enough to complete the rest of my purchases, and make the long journey home.
Natural, Delicous Protein
I am sensitive to most mainstream protein supplements (they give me a headache) but I have no trouble with these bars. The ingredients must be very natural, not chemically derived. They are absolutely delicious and pack a good supplement of protein. I sometimes eat half of one for a snack on-the-go or a whole one for a recovery meal after a long workout.
Reasonably tasty protein bar with some ... wind.
I got this in the half off basket for impulse buyers near checkout. They got me. Flavor wise this was better than average but you won’t forget it’s a protein bar. It’s a pretty big portion too that might be a chore to eat while moving. The main downside I had was ... and there’s not delicate way to put this, major flatulence. I’m not kidding, no idea why but I was just ripping them for the better part of the time about 1-5 hours after eating this.
Tasty
I cant verify how this will be on a hike but I felt famished after going to the gym and stopped by REI to buy supplies, purchased one of these at the checkout counter. Found it to be very good and something I would purpose again.
Protein along the way
Great tasting and filling. We took them along on our Camino de Santiago journey and they were most appreciated
Probar cookie dough
These did the trick. They taste great and held me out until meal time. I bought several of these.
if you are hungry, this gets the job done
I was in line at REI and hungry so I grabbed a bar on my way to the register. I had forgotten to fuel up before hitting the shopping trail so I was running low on nutrients by the time I needed to tear down the proverbial campsite aka pay for my items and go home. After I got out of the store, I ate this bar. It stopped my hunger pangs with a robust taste of chocolate and peanuts and I wasn't hungry again for a couple of hours. Highly recommended.
Easy meal on the road
I bought these as a easy mess free meal when i’m driving. I just want to get where I’m going and didn’t want to try eating a sandwich in the car. These were great, kept me from feeling hungry for hours. Light enough that you don’t feel like you have a brick in your stomach. I’ll definitely get these again
Wanted to love..
Better tasting than a few bars I’ve had..I guess I’m just not loving bars for backpacking. It did fill me up. I wouldn’t buy it again though..You know, I’m starving on my backpacking trips and I still didn’t like it. I think I will formulate something that will meet my personal tastes. LOL!
using up my dividend
I had a small dividend that I wanted to use up. I rarely buy anything at REI, but to use up the dividend, I purchased several meal replacement bars. They were fine.
