Okay; Not great

I bought this product because it is more travel-friendly than a 36-inch foam roller. I thought it would be the same density as a black foam roller and wouldn't deform under pressure. Unfortunately I was incorrect about both assumptions. I like the size of the Orb, but the density is severly lacking. I want something lacrosse ball dense, that won't mash down. I hope they redesign this in an aggressive density.

For tight hamstrings

I got my Orb 2 1/2 weeks ago in search of relief for my tight hamstrings. This provides more effective massage to the hamstrings than the foam roller because I am able to get pressure to a specific spot. The 5" diameter Orb is helpful; however, I might even benefit more from a 3 1/2" ball perhaps of a rubber material similar to the density of a La Crosse ball. The foam material of my Orb seems to have molded from a perfect sphere into a slightly oblong shape making a circular motion harder but it still works fine for rolling back and forth in a straight line over the targeted muscle group. This is definitely a tool I keep for my post running bodywork recovery routine.

The Orb split in two

This product was great for a little over a year. I weight 170 pounds and I am 6ft tall, but the Orb split into two hemispheres. The product is not one piece of foam, instead it is two hemispheres attached with glue. The glue lost its grip and split in two. I can, however, use one of the broken pieces to hold up my cell phone, and if I lay down just right I can put the hemispheres on trigger points on my back, but it's intended use has been thwarted.

Help for hamstrings

I have such a collection of rollers that I didn't believe this one could do something different, but it does. The ball is the best I've found for massaging the hamstrings and lower leg muscles, without using other muscles and thus tensing in ways that undermine the massage effect. It's also light. I'm now taking it traveling as my best self massage tool. Highly recommended.

It was great until is split in half

The orb worked well until it split in half just shy of 12 months. If you look close you can see two sections pressed or glued together.I thought it was interesting to note it only has a 6 month warranty.

Gets the kinks out

I have been using this Orb for my back, calves and hamstrings. I usually use a high density foam roller but it can't "dig" into the tighter, smaller muscle areas. Using the orb has made a big difference in my hamstring tightness and upper back / shoulder area soreness.

Awesome

This thing can get into the spots that you just can't get with a foam roller or lacrosse ball. Really good for targeting individual knots/sore spots. Hard foam seems like it will hold up for a long time.

Great for more aggressive pressure

Love this in addition to my big foam roller. There are some spots where the larger cyliners cant reach and this one is pretty effective. Its a fairly aggressive so if you dont already foam roll a lot you might want to consider something with a softer touch.
