I am always on the go. Take the dog out before work, get a quick two miler in during lunch, bike home and take the dog for a hike, walk, or another run before calling it a day. These shoes are a jack of all trades, and I'm all about multipurpose things. They're comfy and look great for everyday wear and are great to run and hike in. They're lightweight and pack nicely into my backpack, which will be perfect for my trip to Thailand. I've only ran on pavement twice with them and did not have any problems. I run 2-5 miles everyday on the treadmill or through trails. My shins were sore for the first couple of days, but nothing major. One thing I don't like about it is that there is a lot of wiggle room for your toes. Maybe its suppose to be like that? Anyways, played volleyball in them today and have blisters on my big toes. But overall, I would definitely recommend these shoes!
I ordered the green/blue color and they fit perfectly from the get-go. No breaking in needed. I have limited myself to 2-3 miles for the first few weeks to get used to the barefoot feel, and so far I have been pain free with no complaints. Looking forward to lengthening out my runs. Due to their light weight, I also wear these to walk to and from school as well as for errands, where I get lots of compliments. I haven't tried trail running in them, though I imagine it would take some getting used to given you feel a lot more of the rocks and sticks under your feet. Overall, comfortable and good looking.
I bought these shoes for Crossfit because my other ones I hated. I have heard great things about Merrell and the similarities between it and other "Crossfit" type shoes. I have a wider foot and the toe box in these are perfect! Enough room that my toes are comfortable while running and doing box jumps. Very light weight, practically just wearing socks. I am not convincing my boyfriend to purchase the mens version!
I have not been able to run in these yet due to an injury, but will try once I am able to. I bought these for a trip bc they are compact and lightweight and I knew I'd be doing a fair amount of walking. They are very comfortable. I have a high arch and a lot of flat shoes make my feet hurt after wearing, but not these. They are comfortable for long periods of time walking around. I think they look sporty and are cute with jeans (bc they are not bulky at all) for a casual look too.
I run 3-4 miles, 4 or 5 times a week. I have worn traditional running shoes until now. These shoes are great! They are very, very light. I though that the lack of cushioning would be painful, but it's not at all. I do not heel strike, which might have made my transition easier than it is for some.
These fit me perfectly. It feels like being barefoot with arch support. I think I would wear them every where if I could.
Use this shoe for walking, casual wear, and fording streams on hiking trips. Very pleased with all.
These shoes are extremely light weight and comfortable, just wish a little more arch support.
These shoes are absolutely wonderful. I have stopped having back pain after long runs, and I no longer have trouble with shin splints. They are so comfy and flexible and lightweight, almost like slippers, but seem to hold up great. I hope Merrell never stops making them. If you are in the market for a minimalist shoe, these are fantastic.
I wear these shoes mostly for running on crushed granite trails and roads (and a little at the gym when we run). They are lightweight, comfortable and feel great on my feet! This is my second pair of Merrells and won't be my last!
