Needs a taller front fork mount
The stand is sturdy and holds my mountain bike well once I figured out I had to disassemble the thing to change the front fork mount spacer. You see one of the screws that hold the plastic slide on the fork mount goes through and is jammed in the threads of the axle adapter. Also the fork mount does not elevate the fork enough to bleed the brakes on my sram calipers. All it needs is a taller mount and both problems would be resolved. Kind of disappointed because I got this stand for the heavier mount bike and couldn’t even use it for what I needed it for. Otherwise great stand.
Solid, yet compact workstand
This stand holds my bikes solidly while doing most repairs. Working on the headset or front brake requires you to mount the bike from the rear dropouts, however. Another slight issue...the fact that the crossbeam is level(as opposed to sloping) means that when the rear dropout is locked in and the front wheel is in place, the bars rotate to either side and will not rest in the center. Some similar workstands have a sloping crossbeams that mitigate this. Overall however, I'm very happy with the stability, looks, usability, compact size of this stand.
Sturdy and easy to use
The stand is a great piece of equipment to use. It can swivel around, adjust the height, and spin the rear wheel if necessary. The stand itself will probably last forever - it is made very well. I am happy that I chose to pay a little bit more for this stand over other ones.
Awesome Bike Repair/Wash Stand.
Have wanted a repair stand for years. Finally broke down and bought one. Great stand! Love that you can turn the bike 360º. I used it to replace all of the cables and housings on my road bike. Worked like a charm.
Sprint Stand Feedback
I choose the Sprint Stand over a conventional one because I liked the idea of having my bike supported by a wheel and the QR, over clamping the frame or seat post. I used it recently while completely tearing down all components on my bike. I just moved the BB support and QR holder, when I began work on the back of my bike. I love how I can just move it and my bike (like on a sunny day) and it rotates 360º. It has a small footprint and folds up compactly. The stand is a great way to store your bike too...
I love this thing!
I already had a stand with the clamp to hold the seat post or top tube, but there are several things I like better about the Sprint stand versus the more traditional stand: - No worries about where and how hard to clamp on a carbon frame or seat post - Folds up shorter so easier to store and transport - Bike is much more stable when locked in by the wheel dropouts. With the traditional stand the bike could sway around unless really clamped tight. - The ability to spin the bike around makes it much easier to work on both sides of the bike, especially handy for washing. - The bike and stand take up less floor space since the bike is centered over the stand and not cantilevered. I believe the legs are shorter too, since having the bike centered doesn't require that the legs stick out so far to keep it from tipping over. That means less likely to trip over the legs (and the cool looking bright red helps too). - Height adjustment is easier for quick changes to go from working on the handlebar area to the derailleurs, for example. My only complaint is that I wish the top rail could tilt to put the bike at different angles, but I understand that this would have added to the weight and complexity. The way it is is very stable, light and reliable.
Exceeding my expectations
I've only had this repair stand for a week or so but it's already been put to good use. I've swapped 4 or 5 of my bikes on and off of it without issue. I've never had a stand before to compare it to but this one met my requirements of being easily transportable/folds down easily, doesn't require the frame or seatpost to be clamped, and fits my road bikes axles and mountain bikes with thru axles.
Perfect workstand
I bought this stand last year to start doing light maintenance on my road and CX bikes. This stand unfolds into a rock steady stand that can be height adjusted for working. The top clamp can be opened and slid downwards once the main post has been raised. This allows someone to spin the bike around while wrenching or cleaning. Simple design and well built.
Not compatible with asymetrical chainstays
I have a Salsa Warbird and this stand cannot support it since it has asymetric chainstays. This stand only works with bikes that have an even surface across the bottom bracket. There are also no instructions on how to change the fork adapters. I find it impossible to remove the factory installed fork adapter. The included fork adapters are threaded so I assume the factory installed adapter is also threaded. It will not turn more than 1/2 a turn in either direction and that takes a lot of force. Overall I think this stand is overpriced. Based on the online videos it looked like a practical easy to use stand. But those videos are apparently marketing hype, this stand isn't very convenient or adaptable to different bike frames.
Costs <Park Tools, rotates, elevates, displays
Rotating with locking 1st clamp makes 360 rotation fun. Cleans are easier and raises the bike high. Good for displays. Had to get used to clamp system as the top two clamps differ. Taking off front wheel gets easier. Bottom bracket support lacking and short for evo 1252 wheelbase, added cushion
