Yes , I recommend this product
I recently purchased this so that I could lock my SUP to my car. I know it won't fully prevent someone from stealing it, but it would probably deter them. Once I figured out how to use it, I was very impressed. Easy to latch and securely ratchets down. I have a 12 foot board and it didn't move at all. One of my friends sells SUPs and he was totally impressed with this system. This set didn't come with the rack pads. You do need them when carrying a SUP. Not sure about a kayak.
