Great Watch

My wife bought this for me as a Christmas present back in December 2011. I have used this watch on my latest deployment to Iraq and Kuwait. The watch withstood the 115+ degree heat with no problems, and would like to note that the watchband has out performed other Timex Ironman watches I have previously owned (not falling apart.) It would be nice if the watch could be used in conjunction with a heart rate band as an upgrade in the future. Overall, very satisfied with it!

Old Watch Good; New Watch Bad

After wearing a Timex Ironman 100-Lap watch for probably 20 years I replaced it with this newer version. Unfortunately, the new watch's screen went blank in less than 4 months. REI graciously replaced it, but the second watch's stop watch feature failed after a month. I am still looking for a replacement...

Ironman 100-Great for Interval exercise

I purchased this watch specifically for interval exercise. I’ve used interval training for the last 20 years and the Timex Ironman is a solid affordable option. It is simple to use and dependable. Timex previously offer Interval training on the lighter Ironman 50 that is my preferred option. I still have one that I keep for race day. I would highly recommend this watch as an affordable training watch for anyone who needs interval training and needs a watch that can be used for swimming, running or other activities. I only wish that it was smaller and lighter because sweat and moisture builds up under the band.

Ironically called "IRONMAN Triathlon"

I bought this "IRONMAN Triathlon" watch because it is advertised as being water resistant, and because I have had good luck with the Timex brand in the past. However, four months later, the watch is full of water. This comes after very light use in a mildly wet environment: pier fishing on the gulf coast with my kids. No, I did NOT take the watch deep-sea diving, and I definitely did NOT do a triathlon with this watch. Very disappointed!!!

I can't believe you don't stock these in the UK!

I can't believe you don't stock these in the UK, Timex, c'mon! The most feature packed watch in this price range, really. no world time but dual time is just as good (hint hint, if you update this model, add it!). The cdt AND interval timer is what puts this watch at the top of the 'just get it' list, imo, both featuring autorepeat. loud enough, easily programmable, mute function which is kinda a necessity unless one likes the constant beeping. Looks swishy, feels nice on the wrist. Indiglo with night feature is pretty rad. Would definitely recommend. :) Stock them in the UK, Timex, not that naff looking sleek, lulx. X'D Peace!

5+ years and still running strong

As of when this review was posted, I have had this watch for at least five and a half years and it is still running just as good as it was new. And to me, this is a big selling point mainly because I have seen other watches that lost their ability to accurately keep time as time (pun intended) wore on. Another great thing about this watch is that it has kept on ticking away even though it has been subjected to ocean water, mud, sand, plenty of showers/baths, and a handful of other things. Overall, I would definitely recommend this watch to anyone who needs an accurate watch that can widthstand a good deal of punishment.

Two have failed on me

I agree with other reviewers that this is, at first glance, a great value in a sports watch. Does everything I need and more, and the memory function is very useful. However, while it is stated to be water resistant to 100 meters, I've had two quit on me when running in heavy rain. Completely dead, lost the workout each time. After drying out (several days naturally, or 30 minutes under a low hair dryer) they resume working. I don't swim or shower with it, but I do need it to work when I am out in the rain. After the first one quit, I bought another thinking the first was just one bad example. And the second did exactly the same. Replacing with another brand.

The Ultimate Price/Performance Watch ...

This is the Ultimate Ironman watch, introduced in the early 1980's. It has 5 alarms, including weekday and weekend modes, extremely useful. The electroluminescent display is fantastic at night, and has a "night mode" where every keypress re-lights the display for 5-10 secs. Best of all, it has countdown & repeat which sounds an alarm and is perfect for pacing intervals at the gym, or for swim workouts in the pool. I have owned almost 10 of these watches, and only stopped buying them when I got sick of them. I hightly recommend the fastwrap band, however, it is incredibly comfortable and easy to attach. After 30 years it's still the most functional timepiece you can buy on this planet.

Great Watch

I have had this watch for close to three years now and have no complains. It is super tough, easy to use(That includes easy to fix if you set an alarm and don't mean too), and stylish. It sits on my wrist very comfortably. Id recommend this to anyone who is looking for a watch with solid memory and good performance.
