Great Pants!
Impressed with Kuhl pants so far! Only a few weeks into them but: The Ryder pant has become the replacement for jeans. Comfortable and seemingly rugged material not to mention a little more stylish! Ended up purchasing a couple pair of Ryder and also the Revolver which is a lighter material pant. One note: 6'2" and 185 lbs. 32" waist x 34" inseam was the ticket

Very Dissapointed
I paid extra thinking these pants would last forever and bought two pairs. The tag said to wash them inside out which I did at first. The one time I threw them in the wash and forgot to turn them inside out both pairs came out streaked and scuffed, like I dragged them behind my car. They are less then six months old and look absolutley terrible. I expect better for the price.

Keep these for the office

Don't use these for rock-climbing if you plan to do any kind of knee-barring. I tore mine up within a month of wearing them outside climbing on southeastern sandstone. To be fair, I'm not sure they're designed for rock climbing. But, they are pants made by an outdoors manufacturer that makes other pants for rock climbing so I thought I'd give them a try. I would have just kept wearing them to the office for a while, but I didn't read the washing instructions and I scuffed and marked them up by not turning them inside out the first few times I washed them. Nice looking pants, but you're better off saving these for office/casual pants.

Color fading is disappointing. Runs large.

I want to like these pants, as they are very comfortable but the way the dye runs makes them look pretty bad. I have the Khaki and the Indigo colors. The khaki runs a little towards olive green but I like it. The indigo shows every bit of lint it comes in contact with, as well as dirt. The Khaki ones I've had the longest and are starting to look like I wore them to paint a house. They run large and do not shrink. I wear a 38" waist and could wear a 36" in these.

Stick with the khaki

I bought my first pair of Ryder pants in the dark khaki and every time I wear them, I can't help telling my wife they are the most comfortable pair of pants I've ever worn. I'd wear them every day if I could. I loved them so much I bought the Espresso color. I'm not happy with them because they are a tad bit longer and feel bulkier. Also, the feel of the material isn't as soft and shows more marks. The material in the espresso color is a total lint magnet. I highly recommend the khaki, but think twice about these espresso ones.

Fits any occasion

I work in an office but in a field-oriented profession. I need clothes that look presentable but also look and feel like I could head to the field at any time. I had previously bought a Kuhl polyester/wool jacket at REI, and felt it fit all my requirements. These pants do the same. I especially love the articulated legs - they move smoothly. After the baggy phenomenon, I was afraid I would never again find my waist size fitting true, but this one does. The phone pocket is perfect, and the entire pants give a flat, smooth line.

Growing Fan

Kuhl is growing to be one of my favorite brands. These pants performed great during an extended camping trip and continue to grow on me. At first the pant material was fairly stiff which made moving in them awkward. After a few washes the material is loosening up and much more comfortable. I love how rugged the pants look and feel. Many more purchases from Kuhl are to come.

great fit, poor color.

The dark khaki is actually brown green. Weird color and not as described. No idea on actual function since i cant wear something that looks like it came outta my kid's diaper.

short lived

after the first hike they were noticeably scuffed, with holes starting to develop. It was more strenuous mountain hiking than many typically do, but considering the price and description I did not expect them to start to wear out so quickly. Also, simply washing these added many more scuffs, so they look pretty beat up now. On a more positive note they do fit well and are comfortable.

The most comfortable pair of pants...

Though, they are comfortable, they did not last very long. Sadly, after the first month they looked like I had worn them for a year. I did wash inside out. I never threw them in the dryer, always on the clothesline. Truly disappointed that these $80 pair of pants did not last.
