The quintessential all-weather notebook
Rite in the Rain paper is great stuff! I use it for field notes (photography, coordinates, lists, etc) and I would hate to go back to regular notebooks. I've only used the OD green version of this book (with green paper), but the high-vis cover looks more practical for recreation or work. Aside from the use that the name implies, it is extremely useful for humid conditions that make normal paper unusable. The tough paper also doubles as a material for improvised funnels and the like. Be sure to test your writing instrument before heading for the boonies- some pens don't like this paper. An all-weather pen and a pencil will keep you scribbling no matter the conditions though. This company also makes printer-sized paper for maps, checklists, worksheets, or whatever you feel like printing.
Makes my Job that much easier!
Buying this was the best thing for me for taking notes at work. As a rookie firefighter I am constantly taking notes of new information, reminders, etc. Constantly I found myself opening up a regular note pad from my front pocket after a fire and my notes are just destroyed. The ink bled through, the paper is soggy, you name it. With Rite in the Rain, I no longer have that problem. I would recommend buying this for anyone that carries a notepad in their pocket and works hard!!! I wish the REI I went to had more than just the two I bought. I would buy truck loads of these note pads.
I use this for work
I use this notebook for work when it is raining, foggy or misting. I have to write down numbers as part of my job and on rainy days the little notebooks you get at the drug store turn to pulp. These shrug off water like a duck. I only use in wet condtions
Definitely worth it
I’m a chef by trade and this pad has been a life saver, especially for dinner special prep lists and leaving myself notes. Definitely holds up to water, grease, and sweat.
Little Helper !!!
I purchased these for each of our backpacks, great way to leave each other notes since cell service is touch and go in the area we are located in. Also very handy while out hiking, keep track of compass readings !!!
Go-to notebook
I love these things. Super durable and eco-friendly. Perfect pocket size, and you gotta love the rulers on the back. My go-to notebook!
A water proof pad that is waterproof
Yep its waterproof, its a pad, and its yellow. Not sure what else there is to say. If you are looking for, say a golf cart, or a recipe for tiramsu, then you are looking in the wrong section, and this is not for you. But as yellow, small, flip waterproof pads go, then this is probably best available.
Write in the rain, leave a note in bad weather.
I am a Police officer this is the only paper I keep on me for notes. Works every time, anywhere.
Moisture is no menace
The waterproof journal works well with a regular old ball point pen, even when damp from sweat or precipitation. As a volunteer who patrols Colorado wilderness and keeps a record from which to write reports, this little and inexpensive journal is the perfect tool.
Problem getting ink in pen flowing
They changed something in the paper. My pens, which worked on pads I have purchased on the past, can't get started on the paper. I have to use a regular piece of paper to get the ink flowing, then write on the pad.
