all-round great shoe!
My 7 year old wears these almost every day. The other days he is wearing his snow boots. He doesn't need another pair of shoes, except for gym, which are kept at school. I got a couple sizes, so he has another pair waiting. I would buy them again. All other outdoor type shoes we tried like Keen, Merril, Land's End, are either too wide for him or just rather expensive. I always buy my kids great shoes and will spend what I need to for quality.
Confortable, but wear out too quickly
I bought shoes for my son less than a month ago. He was wearing shoes daily. The laces on one of the shoes completely tore. The second shoe has visible wear outs. I loved shoes and wouldn't want to return them, but my son can't wear them any more as they are to loose and he keeps slipping out of them.
Lace broke after 2 days
The shoes seem to be sturdy and comfortable. But my 4-year old wore it for 2 days and one of the laces broke in the middle of the third day. the other lace was wearing thin too. I know my boy is rough with his shoes but I had other pairs lasted a lot longer. It was completely unacceptable.
