Light, inexpensive, many uses.

I purchased this product to clip items I wanted to easily reach at night in my backpacking tent. Most often this is my LED headlamp or my wrist watch. It could also be used to hang your bear spray. It is easy to attach to the roof loop of my tent and then easy to clip in and remove items, such as my LED headlamp. It is so light, small and inexpensive it would seem a shame not to have at least one of these Nite Ize S-biners along on a hike or backpacking trip. The possible uses for such a utilitarian s-clip are endless. Place one in your "essentials" pouch and see how often you use one. I like the #3(25 lb/11 kg) model. Oldmantravels on flickr

Not rugged enough to hold equipment

This carabiner doesn't have strong enough a spring. My knife fell off twice within an hour while hiking and the second time I lost the knife. Dissatisfied buyer.

Secures my bike's laptop bag

I originally bought this as a keychain, which it did great with. But one day, I realized I could use it to connect the shoulder strap mount on the side of my laptop bag to my bike's rear rack! Normal caribiners are too thick to accomplish this. I used to always touch my laptop bag from time to time to ensure it was still there, but now I don't have to.

A must have

I have a three or four of these on various bags and backpacks. They are super lightweight at 1.1 oz and very functional. They're great for clipping on a hat, a light, extra gear or nearly anything. Due to the dual ended design, they can be woven into strapping to provide two lash points (one up, one down). I've carried them for a couple of years and the anodizing is rock solid and I've had zero problems with them. Highly recommended. I also have these in the #2 and #4 sizes, which are also useful. I find the #3 to be the perfect blend of compactness and usefulness.

Expertly crafted

Can't say anything bad about these little guys. I use mine for attaching my keys to my belt loop. I like the #3 size because it feels easy to manipulate and works on even the wider belt loops in my drawer. It feels extremely solid and well crafted. I love the brushed finish they chose for this color. I can also really appreciate the finer details like the strength of the gates and the laser etched logo and identifying information. The size and weight limits are clearly displayed, too. No major scratches after months of use. Highly recommend!

Solid S- style carabiner for keys

Solid construction, perfect for use as a key chain or addition to one. Clips to just about anything and stays until you un-clip it. One word of caution is when you put over 7 or so keys, it can get overloaded. In that I mean when you are taking off wherever it is clipped there is a small chance you open both gates and a key can slip off. Has happened a few times to me and almost lost my mailbox key. Otherwise great product.

Too many uses to list

I used this with my Mountan Smith "Tour" lumbar bag. I would clip the zippers together to make it more difficult for pickpockets to open the bag and it worked like a charm.

Just what I needed!

I was looking for some mini-caribiners to hook a couple of small tools onto my camera tripod. I bought the #1 S-Biner (2-pack) at a hardware store. They were small enough and so very easy to clip on and off. They work so much better than regular carabiners! So happy I found them!

Should have gone with the locking model

I reckon I’ll chalk it up to choosing the wrong tool for the job, or user error, but this S-biner didn’t do the job. I bought it to attach my dog’s Ruffwear Quencher bowl to my day pack. The bowl was great, but lost it on day one when it somehow slipped the biner. If I buy another, it will be the locking type, but for now, I don’t trust this thing to do much.

Love the lock

I have used these for a while. I bought the slide lock one and lost one of the slides. Wonder if I could purchase. Other than that I love these.
