Functional, Lightweight Twist Shifters

First off, you either love or hate twist-shifters. If you hate them, these won't convert you. I have the 8-spd version of these and they work very well. Shifting is clean and precise. They're lightweight but they still take abuse pretty well (even though they sort of feel flimsy, I've had them for two seasons with no problems). If you've got an old 7- or 8-spd MTB (or you're a retrogrouch like me who prefers the strength of 8-spd chains), they're a worthwhile investment if you're looking for new shifters. A final warning: the mounting bolt for these will mar up nicer handlebars and shouldn't be used with carbon fiber or ultra thing aluminum bars. I got around this by not using their mounting system and zip-tying them to my brake levers. Two years later they're still firmly mounted in the same place, so it works.

Great bang for the buck

This is a great set of shifters that added new life to an old mountain bike! They are simple to use, easy to install, and work great. Shift cables and grips are included. Such a great deal!

Perfect budget replacement for old twist shifters

I purchased these to replace an old broken set of twist shifters on my ladies bike. Product came in fast and install was a breeze. I followed a YouTube video on ParkTool's page for guidance. Bike is back to operational and shifts better than new. ProTip: Use an air compressor with a blow gun to get off the old grips. Works like a charm!

Exactly what I needed

I bought a secondhand bike and the shifters were damaged. These were exactly what I needed. A local bike shop was going to charge me $75 to replace them, with a few minutes watching videos the replacement was easy and quick.

Fast shipping and easy install!

It was shipped extremely fast. Easy to install with both shifters, the grips took a bit of elbow grease to put on. I do wish it included the cable caps, you’ll have to get those separately.

Easy install, durable SRAM gear shifter

Was easy to install. Has worked well so far, shifting gears on the shifter is smooth. You will definitely need to tune up the rest of your bike afterwards though orshifting may be rough.

Nice!

I purchased these to replace some old thumb shifters I had on a vintage mountain bike. These are really smooth and shift without much effort. It’s really great that they come with the “half pipe” short grips, as if you use regular length grips with these shifters, you will have to have your hands way towards the center of the handlebar to shift, which is not comfortable, and may not be safe. The price is a steal!!

Great replacement.

Needed these to replace an existing set on a kids bike. Easy to remove and install. Barrel adjuster make it fairly easy to adjust.
