Very cool idea, however...
The retro-reflective thread works well provided your illumination source is more or less in-line with your eyes (e.g. a headlamp), though I believe this limitation is pretty typical of these materials. The phosphorescent glow is undeniably cool: even a short exposure to high-intensity LED illumination will cause the line to glow for several minutes, easily visible in the dark. Presumably an hour or more of direct sunlight would yield a nice long-lasting glow. It would be great to see this feature in other line/cord products. But...don't buy this line expecting paracord. Beyond guylines, my initial thought was to use this line to make lanyards for items I might need to easily find in the dark. Unfortunately, the line is perhaps a bit too stiff for this application...it doesn't drape particularly well or tie neatly the way paracord does. The line does have a fairly thick core which can be removed if you want a little more flexibility, but it's still not quite as supple as you might expect. The line is also quite a bit thicker than Kelty Triptease reflective line, so may be less well-suited for use marking small items like zipper pulls. Overall, a nice product, but you may want to check out a small length for your application before investing in 50 feet.

glow cannot list so long
overall is good, but it only grow for few minutes after exposure in high power flashlight. Kelty Triptease Guyline does reflective better then this and lighter weight then this.

Great utility chord

This is a great little glow in the dark chord! I have used it for anything from a clothesline to hanging food when camping. It is very resilient, even to prolonged exposure to rain and sun (6 months of outdoor exposure left it good as new). Also the glowing and reflective properties make it a lifesaver when hanging anything in the dark. Fantastic value!

Perfect DIY Dog Leash

I do sport climb but bought this rope to make a dog leash for a new puppy. Cheaper to buy cord lengths and make your own then buy a pre-made leash. Great durability. Make pup chewed right through a store bought webbing leashing but has not dented this cord.

Highly visible tether for knife

I use a foot of this as a tether for one of those lightweight backpacking knives. I found this knife at a campsite and I bet if the last owner had one it wouldn't have been lost. (I learned this lesson with car keys myself)

super shoelace!

got a short length of this to replace a broken Keen's shoelace on my favorite river rafting shoes. Worked so much better than the stretchy elastic official shoelace replacers boxed in the store. Took me a bit to figure out the Keen's hardware sliding gripper and end protector, but I did and feel totally competent to replace the lace when the second shoe breaks. Saves me replacing my favorite, still-great-shape shoes!

Does What I Needed.

I bought this to secure a TV set that I have mounted up on a wall in my backyard. It's the back up security, and if it's supporting the entire weight of the TV, I've got other problems. That being said, as a precautionary device, it seems to be working fine.

Just bought it for a cat leash

I've used this cord before. I like the weight & strength for a long cat leash, as yes, my cat walks me around the neighborhood! I also like the reflective part of the cord for when we go for our walks at night.

Nice one-two punch of glow and reflective

This is an all-around nice cord for lots of different applications. Tent-cord is what I've used it for the most and it's nice to easily see the lines at night.

Clever idea to have a glowing line

Glow-in-the-dark cord is awesome for use with your tents rainfly lines. Also good for use as lanyards, and zipper pull cords. Strong, all-around great line.
