Good tool
I've used the Hozan tool in shops, and I think this tool is fine in comparison. The Hozan 4th hand is beefier and will probably last longer for that, but this tool is just fine. It has a "ratcheting" locking mechanism like the Park 4th hand, which is really nice-- with it you can remove your hand completely from the tool and it will maintain tension on the cable. The Hozan doesn't have that feature, if I am remembering correctly. Don't be turned off of this tool, it's good at what it does.
Get the Hozan version
Got this tool when I worked with a team sponsored by Pedro's. This is the first Pedro's product I've used that I wasn't completely thrilled with. Mine bent after less than a year. Also the locking mechanism is more of a pain than it's worth. I'd spend a little extra and get the beefier Hozan model (if you can find one!) On the upside, Pedro's stands behind their product and will happily replace the tool if it does get bent.

This tool rocks - it's simple and works great for brake and gear cables. Theres no way you could bend it when used properly
